Concerning Northwestern Theological Seminary
Are you really the NTS Administrator? If so, what's the point of your post? Are you going to try to deny the personal stories that I and others have posted here (and have documented proof that they're accurate)? Simply posting the NTS Mission Statement (or whatever it is) doesn't make those stories go away.

Concerning Northwestern Theological Seminary Administration:

I am always amazed at how a few immature Christians can be so mean spirited and disrespectful to a ministry of God and even their own school that they attend? None of us are perfect, we all make mistakes. As Christians, the Lord guides us to improive and grow in Christ. This applies individually and also to ministry bodies in general. We must always be striving to improve and to build up and nurture and help and do good for the benefit of others in Christ. We must not be gossiping, back biting and seeking to cause injury to others. If we notice mean spirited postings, we should immendately pray for the individual doing such evil as they are being influenced by Spirits that would cause harm and injury and discourage other Christians in the faith.

We appologize for any studnet that may have felt neglected by Northwestern Theologcial Seminary staff or faculty. I assure you that is has never been done intentionally. Please understand that we are a very busy school, a 33-year old worldwide educational ministry, with thousands of students to care for. With any large organization, there can be issues that arize which must be corrected. We do our best to resolve all matters brought to our attention.

It does not help anyone to get on the Internet in a forum and then attack a ministry or say mean things in a desire to injure and insult God's ministry. Let us love one another and seek to help and bless each other in Christ.

Now, we fully acknowledged that there were a few communication and grade posting delays resulting from a MOODLE crash over a year ago. We have been forced to build a new MOODLE, which is the latest MOODLE product to fully resolve this issue. We have thousands of students and such delays, effected only a handful of our students. Furthermore, communication delays were never intentional, there was never any intent to delay or injure. The system for student communications was also changed as a remedy for delays. As Christians, it is (Biblically) highly improper to threaten to take other Christians or Ministries of God to a secular court or to persecute or ridicule them in public forums. Dialogue with Ministry leadership should be used to resolve such concerns. There are a few who have made false statements and gross exaggerations online with the intent to hurt our seminary; we forgive you that you acted out of such anger.

No student has been slowed in their educational process at NTS in spite of our technical issues. In fact NTS students are enabled to earn their degrees in considerably less time than if attending most other seminaries. We are a ministry of God with the mission of blessing the Body of Christ and never to intentionally cause harm. Recently a phone number has been posted on all auto response messages from NTS Administration so that students who are having delays in communication can inform us immediately to resolve any such issue in the future. Simply call and leave a message and you will be contacted withing 48 hours except weekends and holidays.

As a Christian student, it is also not proper to attempt to harm the seminary that will be your alma-mater. It is also highly improper to attack a ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ seeking to cause injury. This is just mean spirited behavior and not from the Holy Spirit since our God does not attack His own ministries.

I strongly urge you to have dialogue with our Presiding Bishop our President or NTS Administration regarding any unfortunate circumstance so that resolve can be accomplished promptly and without the delay.

Please review scripture, first: *Refer to Matthew 7:1-5 And more specifically: In *1 Corinthians 6:1-11 Paul writes to the Corinthian church:

“If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people? Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will
judge angels? How much more the things of this life! Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church? I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers?
But instead, one brother takes another to court—and this in front of unbelievers! The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to
your brothers and sisters. Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God?

I strongly suggest that you first submit any grievance to our Presiding Bishop or the Seminary Administration by e-mail, in an effort to find resolve within the Body of Christ. Pray over your communications and trust the Lord to bring promnpt resolve.

Sincerely in Christ, NTS Administration

Dear Faculty: Northwestern Theological Seminary, Holy greetings and God's speed to you and your theological partners in the ministry. I have a great feeling of joy to learn of your online degree program that is enabling young men and women the opportunity to study. It gives a deeper, wider and true knowledge of the Christian Faith. I truly bless The Lord for your obedience and dedication, having received the revelation and vision to educate the world, you embarked to fulfill this worthy cause. This great resource, no doubt has helped to spread the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ to many remote and undeveloped areas of the world. I pray earnestly for your ministry to get stronger and wider, continue to be courageous, amid the attacks from those who lack the true vision and fail to understand the great commission God has charge us to fulfill.
Your Faculty Advisors and Ministry Directors from all over the globe tells of the hard work and effort that has gone into this ministry. I discovered this website while searching the internet.
I have been looking online for opportunity to continue my biblical studies. I have looked at several biblical study programs, but I don't see any that can be compared with NTS. Your core courses, the foundation for all your degree programs are excellent.
Anyone that has good knowledge and understanding of the Christian Faith should support and promote this great work of the ministry. I have passed on this website to some of my Pastoral Colleagues and advised them to take the time to explore fully, the opportunity that Northwestern Theological Seminary offers. I know God's blessings will continue to be upon this ministry through the prayers of those that love the Lord.

Rev. C. E. Gayle

I have wanted to attend seminary for years, but due to schedule and financial restraints, could not pursue the traditional route of sitting in a classroom for hours every day, and paying thousands of dollars for the privilege. I began exploring online options, and I am very happy our Lord led me to Northwestern Theological Seminary. I have been enrolled for about 4 months, and I am very impressed by the instruction method Northwestern Theological Seminary uses. The information I learn in every course is easily recalled.
Since beginning my course of studies, my knowledge of Scripture has increased, and my relationship with God has become deeper and closer. God recently allowed some events to occur in my life that in the past would have knocked me down, but now have only highlighted the changes He has wrought in me through a better knowledge of Him, and His word, that Northwestern Theological Seminary has helped me to achieve.
I do recommend NTS to everyone I meet who express even the remotest interest in deeper study of Scripture.

The Lord has blessed me to become a student of Northwestern Theological Seminary. Before I was accepted into the program, I did some research into other online seminaries, and to my surprise, some programs were as much as ten times the amount of Northwestern Theological Seminary. I thank God for his favor and leading me to your web site, Halleluiah! This was something I was looking for.
Back in June of 2010, I was ordained as a Reverend, and I must say that through my study and research, I have been enriched with a lot of history and facts that I always long for.
I thank God for your programs.
Rev. Andre Owens
Bachelor of Theology in Ministry Program
I come from an evangelical Christian background with a bias in Biblical Exposition. Nonetheless, I have to appreciate the thoughts of other Christian theologians with different biases. I also have to admit that this is the first time I have been involved in an online learning.
It is a very enriching intellectual and technological masterpiece to embrace a new concept of learning without compromising the quality of the content material.
David H. Kodia
Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Theology Program
I have been blessed in my NTS program thus far, because your school became available when my original Doctor of Ministry program at Wesley in DC couldn’t meet my academic needs. Wesley requires students to be away from ministry, work, and home four weeks out of the year, and I could not commit to that level of absence.
Your school has encouraged me so very much. I only have two courses left to finish before I complete my doctoral dissertation.
Thank you for the ministry of your school to me. I am humbled to say that I have done very well in all of my classes thus far.
Rev. Paul H. Demers
Doctor of Ministry Program
Northwestern Theological Seminary has blessed me by having a deeper, more meaningful understanding of Scriptures. I have learned so much about Theology and practical application of Biblical principles in the last year.
Thank you so much for having created this institution of higher education that edifies students to a greater understanding of Christ!
Eduardo Fernandez
Master of Theology in Christian Counseling Program
It is with a heartfelt of gratitude that I write this letter of love and appreciation to you and - our seminary leaders - for the blessings that have been gifted to me by attending this wonderful seminary. My studies here have opened anew the "windows of heaven" for me in a way most magnificent!
I have embraced my life long love for Christ by ever increasing my knowledge of the Old Testament - and built a more solid foundation for my faith. I have rejoiced in seeing anew the prophecies of old - foretold - becoming alive and living in the New Testament with a freshness and a vision that is breath taking to behold!
Northwestern has gifted to me a deeper relationship with my Lord, and for that gift there is nothing in the world entire to compare. I am blessed - truly - beyond belief!
With an everlasting love for the Master.

I have been working toward my B.Th. in Christian Counseling with Northwestern Theological Seminary for several years and I am close to completing my degree requirements. The time I have spent studying and preparing course work over the past several years has deepened my understanding of God’s Word and definitely helped me into a closer walk with the Lord.
My NTS studies have helped to prepare me to talk with others about the issues they face, and they have also been a strong foundation from which to face a particularly difficult period of tragedy in my own life.
As I prepare to retire from my first career I look forward to ministry opportunities and what I have learned and am still learning via Northwestern Theological Seminary as I complete my B.Th. and look toward my M.Th. will definitely be an asset to me.

I have been to seminaries on full time basis within the four wall environment, but my present online study experience with NTS supersedes the former in respect to study materials and student- staff relationship.
I thank God for coming to Northwestern Theological Seminary.
David J. Tassa
Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Education Administration Program
The Lord has blessed me through my Northwestern Theological Seminary educational experience by infusing me with the Holy Spirit. When I opened the first course the foundation was laid out that this course requires an absolute trust in the Holy spirit as the ultimate teacher. At first I scoffed, and applied the human knowledge approach. I even made a few comments about my skepticism in my first assignment. By the time I got to the third course, however, I realized that the Spirit of Scriptures were directing my energy. It was a supernatural experience, an epiphany. By the time I started Systematic Theology it was truly the Holy Spirit that was doing the writing for me.
I have taken many, many, on-line courses and never have I been so motivated to excel. The proof is in the pudding--I believe I started in February and have completed up to Assignment 1 of the Course number 5 of the core courses. This is incredible.
Moreover, I was so spirit filled after studying the hermeneutics course I purchased two books on Biblical Greek. The hermeneutics course clearly stated that a knowledge of Greek and Hebrew will establish a sound foundation in interpreting the Bible. I'm not sure how I'll do it but I trust in God to see me through.
I have grown spiritually and faith-based intellectually in my NTS experience.
Thank you Northwestern for opening my eyes to see the truth in God's teaching.
David Heaukulani
Doctor of Divinity in Ministry Program
I would like to thank God who led me to the website of NTS. I had for a long time been longing to do an Online Theology training, but I could not find one which is as affordable and with an enriched online library as Northwestern Theological Seminary.
As I started doing my first courses in Old Testament and New Testament Surveys, my mind was opened to to discover great ideas, facts and events which outlines God's sovereign dealing with mortal man. This has changed my perspective of studying the Bible and I discovered that I know too little from the Scriptures and I now have the desire to know more. Thanks to Northwestern Theological Seminary for giving me this opportunity to discovery my inadequacy and to polish me up for greater work of ministry.

What is it about opening the Word of God and letting it saturate soul? No eyes have seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. By inviting Jesus into my life, praying, and studying it is allowing me to form the mental picture of what God has prepared for those that love him. This is how I am be blessed by Northwestern Theological Seminary.
I have study the bible for over 40 years and with this training that I am receiving, the Holy Spirit is guiding my path to fulfilling the answers about life that I thought could never be answered.

I thank God for His many blessings and you for your insight to put this plan of study together for Pastor's like me. As a pastor, Moderator and National Teacher, achieving my Master's and Doctorate seemed out of reach, but my experience with NTS has been one of encouragement. I want to personally thank Dr. Galloza for his insight, he has made this journey achievable through programming and clear instruction. I will recommend this course of study to others in my Church, State, and Association.

Northwestern Theological Seminary is a blessing to me. It is a door God opened for me to get my PhD. What surprised me is that even when I have not gotten to the end of the program in the aforementioned Institutions, God foreknew what will happen at the end and have asked me to leave like He directed Abraham to leave his household and nation to a land He would show him; and through him, all nations of the Earth would be blessed.

I know that having obeyed Him who directed, He will take me to the pinnacle of my academics (acquiring the PhD successfully), in no distant time.

Studying at Northwestern Theological Seminary is really a great blessing to me in many ways.

I have learned a lot about God, Jesus, the Bible, and the science of theology. They introduce valuable courses, and the assignments required helped me in searching, reading, and in creating a biblical worldview, which is life changing, and very helpful in the work of ministry and in living a Christian life in a world that is full of many unbiblical views.
God also blessed me through studying at Northwestern because it is financially affordable to me. I can study any time; according to my own schedule, it all depends on my speed, and time.

Finally I have to thank my advisor for his patience and helping spirit.

I am happy to share my testimony of how the Lord has blessed me as a student of Northwestern Theological Seminary. While I fully acknowledge material blessings from the Lord, may I focus at this time on the spiritual blessings.

I sense a deep awareness of a peace of mind, and tranquility in my heart, and also a strong desire to fulfill God's will, and do exploits for Him.

It is my desire also, to know Him better.

I am Thai pastor in a new church called Alive Church. Before Northwestern Theological Seminary, I was taking courses from a Bible school in Thailand. Although there are many distance Bible schools in Thailand, it’s quite difficult because they are not online and still have only certificate level which couldn’t let me study in depth the word of God.

I found NTS through my prayer and searching on the internet. I believe Northwestern Theological Seminary is divine guidance given to me because Northwestern Theological Seminary could fulfill my needs in which I could serve God and still run the church at the same time.
Rittee Chaiwong
Master of Divinity in Ministry Program
Northwestern Theological Seminary's continuous pursuit of excellence in combination with its' bold stance against secular accreditation is appropriate and commendable.
The Institution's expectation of high quality academic work matched with its' low cost tuition is outstanding, but to make these type of Degrees available online and self-pacing is simply priceless!
Bryan H Brynildsen
Combined- Master of Theology / Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Apologetics Program
The assignments I have completed have certainly deepened not only my knowledge of Biblical Theology and its workings, but additionally they have given me a more thorough love for The Lord.
The step by step progressive learning process, that Northwestern Theological Seminary uses, provides for me the capability to better understand Christianity in general as well as specific areas that I had very little knowledge of in the past.
Patrick Rooney
Bachelor of Theology in Theology Program
Northwestern Theological Seminary has been a blessing to me in many ways. I have just completed the second course in my M.Div. program and love every moment of my studies. The greatest blessing of NTS is the cost. I wanted for so many years to attend seminary.
I have been a high school teacher for the past 25 years but always felt a calling to full time ministry. Northwestern Theological Seminary is providing me with a quality education at an affordable price.
Robert J Heyer
Master of Divinity in Ministry Program
I am amazed at the effectiveness of the teaching method used here.

Most schools have a textbook, some lectures, assignments, and a set of "facts" to "memorize" for tests. Then you test and later you eventually "forget" much of that which you "memorized".
Northwestern Theological Seminary has the philosophy of helping you to put what you are learning into immediate use, (they make you think about it), which causes you to retain more of the information than using the usual teaching method.

I came to Northwestern Theological Seminary, (actually the Holy Spirit led me), to learn, not just to get a degree. I am very pleased with the quality of education I am receiving.
Jesse Prewitt
Combined- Bachelor of Theology / Master of Theology in Christian Education Program
I want to let everyone know that Northwestern Theological Seminary has provided me with not just an excellent curriculum, but a foundation surrounded in the truth of Christ. I have been blessed with a place I can call home, a place that understands that the road becomes more difficult as we get closer to Him.

I have been blessed with the tools to continue to spread the Word of Christ our Savior to all those who need His strength.

Rev. Alexander Gutierrez
Combined- Master of Divinity / Doctor of Philosophy in Ministry Program
Over the years it has been my upmost desire to further my education in the areas of Christian Counseling and Biblical Studies. Northwestern Theological Seminary has been a great blessing to me in that your online distance learning program has allotted me the opportunity to accomplish my heart felt goal. Prior to enrolling in your program , as a working mother, wife, church elder, and part-time caregiver for two elderly family members it has been absolutely impossible to see my long desired goal become reality.
Northwestern Theological Seminary's accommodating, flexible programs has made it possible for me to attain my goal. As well, your staff's spirit of sensitivity, consideration, and cooperation has been a blessing to me. Most importantly, having the opportunity to complete my studies on-line with an authentically bible-based seminary, such as yours has been an answer to my prayer.

I sincerely thank God for Northwestern Theological Seminary. You have been more that a blessing. Without your great program and God-sent staff, myself as well as others who have the desire to continue their education would never have the opportunity.
May God continue to blessed Northwestern Theological Seminary immensely.

Since you've apparently kept the correspondence that supports your claim to be a reputable online seminary, let me post the letter I sent you to back in March of 2012:

I am writing to request a refund of the $1650 I paid to enroll in NTS back on April 5, 2011. I am halfway through my Master of Biblical Studies program and am now blocked from proceeding to my thesis because of the inaction of NTS.

This has been an extremely frustrating 11 months because of the lack of communication between myself and my faculty advisor, Dr. Samuel Galloza. Although it wasn’t easy, I was able to get through all the coursework but am now stopped because of Dr. Galloza’s inaction. I was preparing to start on my thesis proposal in January (2012) when I hit a major impediment. Here is a summary of the (lack of) communication between myself and Dr. Galloza since that time:

1/4: sent Email to Dr. Galloza re my thesis
1/16: sent follow-up Email to Dr. Galloza
1/20: sent Email to Admin to see if Dr. Galloza was ok
1/25: sent follow-up Email to Admin
1/26: received Email from Dr. Galloza; he gave me his Email address (6:04am)
1/26: sent Email to Dr. Galloza and sent via Moodle, again re my thesis (6:44am)
2/1: sent Email to Dr. Galloza, Admin, and Registrar asking for a change of advisors or a refund (8:23am)
2/1: received Email from Dr. Galloza saying he’s not sure what I was requesting (9:57am)
2/1: sent Email to Dr. Galloza, again re my thesis (11:56am)
2/1: received Email from Dr. Galloza promising to get me something by 2/2 (4:27pm)
2/6: sent follow-up Email to Dr. Galloza
2/10: sent follow-up Email to Dr. Galloza
2/13: sent Email to Dr. Galloza, telling him I just submitted my thesis proposal on Moodle
2/27: sent follow-up Email to Dr. Galloza

It is now March 2, and I have yet to hear anything back from NTS regarding my thesis proposal, and according to the Thesis Proposal section on Moodle, “The Thesis Proposal must first be submitted and accepted prior to the start of your thesis work”. As you can see, it was submitted on 2/13, and I’ve been blocked from proceeding because no one has gotten back to me to tell me anything about it. I don’t think it should take nearly three weeks for someone to review a 5-page thesis proposal and respond. And even if it did, the least someone could do would be to send me a message giving me an estimate of when it might be reviewed. The receipt of my proposal has not even been acknowledged (just like the vast majority of my Email messages).

At this point, even if someone were to respond to my proposal and say that it was accepted, I am not the least bit confident that I would be able to complete the work, given Dr. Galloza as my advisor. Again, according to the NTS Thesis Preparation Checklist, I am to “Have preliminary communications with your Advisor to discuss, for example, expectations and requirements”. Given that I have heard from Dr. Galloza a total of three times since 1/4, this clearly hasn’t happened. Further, since the Checklist says that I am to “Have regular communication with your Advisor throughout the research and writing phases,” I have absolutely no confidence that that would happen.

Therefore, since NTS is blocking me from completing my degree, I would like the return of my $1650 so that I can complete my degree at another institution.

Thank you.

Are you saying that NTS has been revamped, or that I am one of few unlucky ones to have been ignored like this? What assurance can I have that if I continue with my thesis that it will be reviewed and responded to in a timely fashion?

Dear Dysert:
Of the thousands of students enrolled with Northwestern Theological Seminary, you seem to be one of the very few who have experienced a delay in communication.
Your delay in communication was probably due to your not entering a subject line in your e-mails. All such e-mails are deleted for security reasons. Also if you do not identify your self or provide a student number, it is also difficult for staff to follow up.
When you send an e-mail to NTS administration, you automatically receive a auto reply which gives a phone number to call in case their is a problem or glitch with cmmunications. If you call that number our staff receives a prompt and a staff or faculty member than sends an e-mail to resolve such communication problem.

Again, you are one of a handful of students who have experience such problems with e-mails. If this happens again be sure to call the phone number for student emergrencies and someone will contact you by e-mail to resolve the issue. We never intentionally ignore our students.. Regarding any refunds, you have been provided the seminary refund and withdrawal policy and it is similar to most other schools. If you fulfill the requirements, we would gladly provide a refund. I don't want to get into a spitting contest with you, but what you're saying wasn't true as recently as March of 2012. Here's the auto reply I got from the NTS Administrator back then:
Thank you for contacting the Northwestern Administration Office.

Your message has been received and will be forwarded to the appropriate personnel for handling.

If you are a student of Northwestern, be sure to check your Moodle regularly for new messages and replies, as well as announcements.

Please note that the Administration Office is closed on weekends and holidays. Your email will not be reviewed until the next regular business day.

If you do not receive a response within 72 hours, your communication may not have reached us. Please be sure to follow-up with us again.

This is an auto-response to your message.

Northwestern Administration
Notice that there is no phone number listed. Assuming that you are the NTS Administrator, are you saying you've changed your policies in the past year?
NTS Administrator said:

When someone finally did get back to me, there was another excuse, er, reason given why I had been ignored. Anyway, the fact is that I did enter a subject line in my emails, I did give my N-number to identify myself, and I even submitted my stuff to Moodle. Black holes.

At this point I can only say that I hope you've changed your procedures enough so that it is possible to have two-way communications with you. Maybe I'll even try finishing my thesis if there's someone on the other end who will look at it.

Dysert:

You are posting an old NTS auto response message from March?? You stated, "as recently as March?"
This is May already? 3- days from June.. Your posting refers to a 90 day old auto-response? That autoresponse message was CHANGED SOME TIME AGO...
The actual message does provides an emergency phone number as I stated in yesterdays blog. There has also always been an emergency phone number for all students listed on the CONTACT US page of the NTS Seminary website. Instead of makeing public postings and insulting faculty members, it would be far more ethical to simply communicate directly with the staff and faculty of NTS. You have access to management as well as NTS administration and the Registrar's Office. No one has ever intentionally ignored any of your communications. There are technical glitches which can occur causing e-mails to be lost. Also any e-mails sent without a subject line are deleted for security reasons. Also any e-mails without a student name or student number are deleted as it would take hours to try and match an e-mail address to a list of thousands of students to locate proper name and sstudent number. This is all explained in the studetn orientation provided to all students at time of enrollment. Of the thousands of students we have have only a handful who complained of issues regarding communicating and it is most ofen due to student error. If you have problems in the future please call the emergency phone number and follow direction in leaving a message. A staff member will comntact you by e-mail, to resolve your issue. Dysert is 100% correct. I am a student at NTS and can verify that what he is saying is very true. I started with the school in 2010. Since late 2011, communication became real terrible; then came the reasons why and promises to fix it which never happened; In 2012 the communications became almost non-existent. How can you run a distant education program without communicating to the students. I believe there is only one advisor which cannot handle all the problems the school is having. I have classes that I completed in 2010 with unposted grades. All of the classes I completed in 2012 have no posted grades; students can no longer communicate with each other as they have taken that feature out of the NTSMoodle system. I can go on and on. The Lord is witness that I speak the truth and lie not. All my course work is complete but I can't even get any collaboration with my advisor like the instructions say for my Thesis proposal. The courses I took were good and I learned quite a bit however, I question the current viability of the school. It is basically dead and older students such as myself feel kicked to the curve and let down by NTS. I do not know what this person who claims to be the NTS Administrator is talking about but the school is broke and that is the consensus of a multitude of students of whom I have received personal emails while I was one of the Student Guide Assistants. I bring it up only that the truth may be told. unfortunately when they changed the system, all of my email traffic between myself, other students and Dr. Galloza was lost. I had over two years worth of complaints and dissatisfied students. Again, Dysert is telling the truth. I have experienced much of the same.

Didn't someone mention something about a free Christian counseling course? If so, what were those? If not is there any place anyone knows of that is reputable that offers this or any other Christian certificate/training for free or with non-FAFSA financial aid to cover costs (maybe a church)?
I have spent so much time searching for this and it is hard to find one, even if not free that is reputable and would be accepted somewhere upon completion. Any suggestions? Preferably ones that are strictly Bible based.

There is something called a Stephen Ministry. It requires 50 hours of training, and then you can be used as a one-on-one relationship minister. I haven't seen a church charge for such training. If your gift is service or helps, this might be something you're interested in.

Where would I go to get the training for that? Is there somewhere online that offers it?
A Stephen Ministry is affiliated with a local church. You'd have to hook up with one that way. There are two churches around me who have Stephen Ministers. One is a non-denominational church, and the other is a Presbyterian church. Good luck on your hunt.

Thank you. Do you know of any Bible colleges or anywhere I could take courses online that would offer a need based scholarship and have summer classes I could still get into? Right now I am looking for something online that I can do this summer.
I have spent the last few days looking all over the Internet without finding anything. Most of what I am finding is not accredited and I am looking for something that would be accepted by churches. Also something that is strictly Bible based. Please let me know if you have any suggestions at all; I am very tired of looking and want to get started.

I suspect that any program worth its salt would offer need-based scholarships. If I were to do it over again I'd look seriously at The Master's Seminary (it's online, accredited, Bible based, but expensive), and maybe Liberty University (not sure if they have an online seminary or not).
