Hello forum, I am an AWANA games director adn soon to be student training in children's minitry. I am stumped with games right now, and will be for VBS this summer. I have a little girl who is in TNT and differently challenged (I refuse to claim handicaps- handicaps are an excuse, differently challenged allows us to be who we are and to do things the way we are). my commander insists that the games be high energy and fully active. He suggests non-active games to be occassional, but not every night. I need to include this little girl, but when she does the activities, she falls to tears because she cannot run or do the other "fast" stuff. what do i do? i tried the bible tivia stuff and got into trouble for it, any ideas out there? I will be spending time researching adn studying about special needs and how to incorporate them into the activities so please contact me via email. michelberry@pkfamily.com
