Unfortunately, I am unable to convince him, because he says a mummified body, from which DNA has been recovered, was radio carbon dated, and discovered to be an ancestor of the Omphalos family from 1,000 years ago.

Of course, I know that the body was planted there by some deranged scientist, but what can one do?

It's not my fault if the evil scientists are trying to pretend that the family had ancestors. I have tried to reason with the gullible people who believe all this stuff about a dead ancestor, but they just won't listen to reason.

Following the scientific method one can recreate the events and accumulate
supporting data, or just dream stuff up. In this case I'd credit panspermia
as the solution and gain the applause of my peers for being so clever.

For example, how does science explain this ...

If they can't ... and they have a good reason why they can't ... then I submit it is because science is either myopic or blind.
