Which came first, diamonds or the earth?

Keep in mind the Bible says:

Ezekiel 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Terrestrial diamonds, or diamonds in general?

Give given diamonds exist in other places in the universe and the earth is only 4.6 billion years old, it's pretty safe to assume that diamonds existed somewhere before the earth did.
The earth was the first planet in the universe.

Maybe the creation story shouldn't be taken in a literal context, especially when the physical evidence left by God shows differently. You know, evidence that man cannot change, unlike writings of man than can, or the misunderstanding of intended context written down several thousand years ago.

When it comes to God's word, Shannon entropy can take a hike.

An exotic planet that seems to be made of diamond racing around a tiny star in our galactic backyard in an undated image courtesy of Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne.

LONDON Astronomers have spotted an exotic planet that seems to be made of diamond racing around a tiny star in our galactic backyard.

The new planet is far denser than any other known so far and consists largely of carbon. Because it is so dense, scientists calculate the carbon must be crystalline, so a large part of this strange world will effectively be diamond.

"The evolutionary history and amazing density of the planet all suggest it is comprised of carbon -- i.e. a massive diamond orbiting a neutron star every two hours in an orbit so tight it would fit inside our own Sun," said Matthew Bailes of Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne.
