I'm out to lunch on that.

Some like to say it takes more faith to believe in evolution (or that God doesn't exist), than it does not to believe.

Personally, I think that's a cheap shot that doesn't warrant reducing to a mantra.

I think [most of] you guys really see things and believe it, but in my opinion, you're all brainwashed by higher academia.

And that's just my opinion.

Are you testing your defense mechanisms, to be sure they are in good working order?

I present to you an apple that was created ex nihilo.

How can you refuse to accept that --- without being wrong?
I present to you an apple that created itself.
How can you refuse to accept that --- without being wrong?

I present to you, in the palm of my hand, a person who´s invisible because she swallowed herself.
How can you refuse to accept that --- without being wrong?

Anyway. Strictly speaking, "was created ex nihilo" is logically impossible - since it postulates the existence of a creator - that´s not a state of nothingness.

Wrong.

The planets, moons, and stars were all created ex nihilo -- after the earth was.

Creatio ex nihilo means it was created by adding mass/energy to the universe -- something your precious science says can't be done.

No, creatio ex nihilo means "creation from nothing".
That is correct.

If it was from something that already existed, it would be called creatio ex materia.

God could create something ex nihilo right now, if He so chose.

At least with evolution you believe in something. For me it is more difficult to conceptualize nothing then it is to believe in something. You can not have nothing because that would create a vacuum and then something would rush in to fill that space.

What sort of fool accepts such a miraculous claim without a huge amount of evidence to back that claim up?
