Will many of those born after 1948 see the Rapture?

It took Noah 120 years to build the Ark, the Ark is a type and shadow of the Church.

A.J. Tomlinson became leader of the Church in 1903, died in 1943- 40 years as leader. Moses, God's leader of the children in the wilderness- 40 years.

3 - 40 year generations = 120 years

1903 to 2023 = 120 years

A generation is 40 years. (Hebrews 3:9-10)(Numbers 32:13)

No man knows the day or the hour of the Rapture (Matthew 24:36)

It makes a lot of sense to believe or say those born between 1948 and 1988 will see the Rapture.

It makes a lot of sense to believe or say some over the age of 70 will see the Rapture.

It is possible we could see the Rapture as early as 2018, do the math, 1948 + 70 = 2018.

It is possible the Rapture will be no later than 2023, do the math, 1903 + 120 years = 2023.

It makes a lot of sense to believe or say we will not know the day nor the hour as to the Lord's return. However, we should know close to the year.

So you are a pre trib rapture man?

The return to Israel could be significant and does seem to fulfill various end time prophecies.

As for the bible maths , (puts wet finger up to the wind) God only knows. As you quoted the day and the hour are unknown.

I don't think the Israel talked about in the NT is a physical, bordered nation. I think Israel is the sum of persons scattered around the world who follow God and Christ - genetic Hebrew and otherwise.

If the Church is not an edifice, but a representation of the believers, then Israel (going to back when it represented children, not territories) is a people. Israel has always been a people.

Applying prophecy to physical Israel seems like a red herring to trick believers so that they lose faith when

1) rapture doesn't happen
2) Israel the nation is destroyed
3) tribulations of legend begin
4) all religion is physically, mentally, and spiritually destroyed in all people - including faith.

Daniel 11 and Revelation speak about people leading the education against Antichrist: the "wise" of Daniel, and the "elect" of revelation. I would be careful about this type of coupling prophecy of Israel the physical nation.

Not sure what A. J. Tomlinson has to do with this. He was considered a prophet by the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee, but not necessarily by the Church in general. It is entirely possible that the Rapture could occur before 2023 but date-setting is totally unwise.

The Lord has not revealed the dating of His next intervention .... when this practice is evident in any religious movement one can know that those who do it should be suspect

Let's clear up the Church is not the Israel and please, let's snap out of this, "Since Israel has been very silent on spreading the Good news then it means Christians became the Israel!" NAAAAH! Don' think so. The 144,000 sealed of the 12 tribes are JEWS and Jews meaning people who are in Israel and can have their roots traced to Ruben or Benjamin!

There are no clues as to when Rapture will happen and more so, when the world will end. Did you know the earth could be inhabitable in the next 1,000 years, so I cool off on prediction and stuff
