What do you all think of this crucifix? I "get it" but I wouldn't want it in my church. JMHO.

Seeing that my first thought is Christ's descent into Hell to release the worthy souls that died before his arrival.

I'm not sure if it's intentional but the Rocky bottom looks like skulls and skeletons, hence the reason it makes me think of Christ's descent and rise from Hell.

It's actually a resurrected crucifix, with the tree representing the cross. I noticed the similarities to skulls too, but if you look closely, they aren't. Too bad the artist didn't see this.
