I don't think much of beauty pageants, but I suppose women who use wheelchairs have as much right to participate in this insanity as anybody else.

However, if you tell my friend Janie she's "disabled", you're going to learn what it feels like to have a tiny little woman in a 250-pound motorized wheelchair roll over your toe.

Okay, but I doubt the name "Miss Disabled" will go down well.

"Hey look, it's the Miss Disabled Beauty Pagent winner!"

"Gee, thanks for reminding me."

Dunno, there's just something that seems wrong about that label.

Yah, us disabled people hate to be called disabled or even special. We want to be like everyone else.
