looking for --> female choir hymns

hi all

for years ive been recalling some of the most beautiful music ive heard in my life was female christian choir music

this will sound contradictory
but i dont call myself christian
nor do i profess any religion/science/belief system

though i realize the bible says those who dont preach/confess mesiah
are not of that flock

so much wisdom in the bible yet i do not hold it 'holy' as i see god speak [the word] thru all things.

it is god in my view who must 'profess' [illuminate] the holy people
not the reverse

that is all off track

i am appealing to anyone who might contribute the best, softest, smoothest, most holy music of 'female choirs' they know of
and post links sources references for me on this thread

such a favor would not go without merit

please dont be distracted by the controversy my opening statement might insight

please focus on my plea for the best of the best choir music
it must be angelic
smooth
dripping holiness from every note

i have heard this before
but have no idea where or by who
i have of course done many searches and found nothing close to what i wish to recover

it is too beautiful to describe

less than .01% of all choir music would qualify as what i seek
still i seek
perhaps a kindred heart knows what it is and will post it

hymns i seek are NOT modern music

its been 40-50 years since i heard them

some may be germanic
others not

please respond
with what you can
respondants should be age 50 or older

i dont believe in 'christian' rock
anything loud and overbearing in sound levels would not be christian

Several years ago my niece was in high school in Ankeny, Iowa. She sang in their choirs and I attended at least one performance. Not only was the choir top notch, but the music was superb. It included Christian music, including a really difficult and beautiful arrangement of a Psalm. Although it was written for a full choir I think it could be arranged for a female choir.

There are lots of female voices in Serbian Orthodox Chant- so maybe check out this page. Most of it is mixed male/female choir though: Serbian Orthodox Chants
