No -- I don't agree that the KJV translators were wrong.

They weren't like today's scientists -- calling something a planet before all the facts are in, then having to retract later.

They called a spade a 'spade' -- and got it right the first time.

The KJV never has to say, 'oops'; or retract anything.

Of course they don't, given that all the translators of the KJV are now dead. The KJV has got plenty of blunders to answer for, this is just one of thousands. I used the KJV all my life until last year. What I found when I used it was that around 50% of the notes I made in the margins were not about study points, but were about how the KJV had messed up the translation. In the end I gave up and bought a decent modern translation. The KJV is, in my opinion, one of the most unreliable translations there is.

The KJV is, in my opinion, one of the most unreliable translations there is.

Actually the KJV is one of the best if not the best translation. For the most part I go by Strongs. I look to see how a the word is used in other places in the Bible. Context has a lot to do with translation.
