I just watched a few interviews with current employees of the TV station in Virginia who worked with the murderer Bryce Williams. They state he always had a chip on his shoulder and he has sued several times for discrimination. Then he kills two innocent people and his manifesto tells how he carved the initials of his victims on the ammo.

The media keeps calling him "troubled" but no mention of his racist views. The media exhaustively reported on Dylan Roof's racist tendencies but scant analysis on Bryce Williams. It seems that this would not fit the narrative of he media at large.

I think it is worth examining.

It seems CNN is not part of this coverup, the racial component of this shooting receives prominent coverage in this, their top story.

Never called it a coverup Mike. Lets not be dishonest. I was though looking for an honest and intellegient discussion. Your welcome to join in.

To get back on topic. The Father and boyfriend are currently discussing their grief and the facts. They were very adamant that the killer was a problem in the paetand that he had used racism to attack the victims.

You said "narrative of the media at large" in reference to what you were suggesting was a refusal to cover a story angle that they didn't want to communicate. I think coverup is a fair word to describe that. Would you prefer conspiracy?

The killer is widely being reported as stating that he was giving the white church-gunman the race war he was hoping to inspire. There is no good reason to murder, and race certainly isn't one. This was an absolute tragedy, without a doubt. We must do more to destigmatize mental health problems, to provide access to mental health care for all who need it, and to keep dangerous weapons out of the hands of people who are struggling with ment illness. These are people who need love and healing. These killings are preventable.

No Mike I was discussing the narrative and subtext. With Dylan Roof the Narrative and subtext were very clear, front and center and repeated hourly by most news sources.

With the virginia killer, the racial angle is sort of a sub plot but not the driving message. It may be different in Wisconsin but in the major news cities the subtext seems to be gun control .

Seeing the title and the OP, I was getting ready to launch into my usual anti-PC disgust with such things as even using the term "Black" for an individual whose first picture on the news I took to be White.
But everyone is being so civil and prayerful that I won't go that route. (Not to mention that I'm on OBOB when I havn'et taken RC Communion since 1991.) God see us through this sorrowful situation.
I will mention that "Bryce Williams'" father lives near me in Vallejo, Calf. and is a well-liked and respected member of an upscale community. No mention of whether he is "Black" nor whether the neighborhood is White or whatever. What I really noticed in the local paper was the ABSCENCE of anything about his mother. I am therefore led to assume she came to a bad end, maybe always was a seriously mentally ill person herself. Bryce's X-chromosome has to come from his mother, and the X-chromosome has lots to do with a person's personality.

I agree with you.

They also seem to purposely avoid mentioning that he was homosexual. I believe its against the 'rules' to mix those two words... "troubled" and "homosexual".

CNN mentioned he was a homosexual black man looking for offense when there was none. When he was fired people were pretty much on lockdown at the station. 911 was called and he was escorted out. He also ran gay inappropriate content sites.

Why? Because he has light skin? He looks African American to me.

Everybody is still calling him "Black". Didn't anyone see his picture? He's not "Black" my any means. Except for favoritism in getting a job.

Has everyone seen both videos of the shooting? The one that went out live and the one that the shooter took?

http://www.infowars.com/graphic-shocking-complete-video-shot-from-virginia-gunmans-point-of-view/

I am from the uk my experience of guns is limited to air rifles and air pistols. But this video looks as fake a $9 note. Point blank range no entry wound no exit wound no body jolt....shot at least 3 times before video convieniently turns black and woman runs freely... my friend who was in the army and does have gun experience believes it was fake too.

If the media wasn't making mention of his racist view, how do you know about them?
