If you're seeking to be a Christian, the real issue is what is holding you back? Why? How is it resolved?

Party or no party, not too much to do with Christianity. Jesus went to parties and drank wine at them. The wine probably wasn't as strong as our wine, but it could certainly cause drunkenness, and he would have avoided being drunk.

He likewise avoided all sin.

But since you're not a Christian, you do not have a complete concept of what is and is not sin. Not really. The spirit of God will eliminate sin in our lives after we are born again, water baptized Christians, and the standard God sets for sins includes everything which transpires inside our heart. He will clean our hearts out if we allow him to.

So you will sin going to that club. But you will also sin walking down the street. And I don't say this to be mean, but just for understanding on how Christianity works if you ever become serious about it. When we glance at an attractive woman who walks by, and there is a shred of lust in our eyes or heart, we have sinned. God forgives us, but he wants that out of our lives.

As a lost person (just for your understanding) you are sinning continually, and you don't realize it.

What you are describing is a superficial adherence to rules on the outside, where men do not think you're sinning, but this is not Christianity. In terms of how the law of sin works, it recognizes all the sin that would live in our heart or minds, where ever there is imperfection.

No my friend, you most certainly want to be on the wrong side. Jesus said you are either with me or against me, there is no in between. When you stand before the Almighty God at the end you want it to be as your Father.

2Co 5:10 For we must all be made manifest before the judgment–seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

When I finally truly became saved you couldnt keep me out of the church, you couldnt keep me out of the Word, you couldnt keep me from praying, you couldnt keep me from practically knocking people down to tell them about Jesus, I wanted to know all I could about Jesus, I so fell in love with Him. Now after these years I dont tackle people any more, lol, but the more I learn, the more I want to learn. I could care less about ever going into a bar anymore, it hold absolutely nothing for me. Now IF Jesus said go, only then would I ever set foot in a bar. I thought for many years I was saved to finally figure out I wasnt and I thank God I didnt die before I realized it or I would of been in hell. Again, if you are looking for a wife find a true christian woman, one that not only talks the talk but walks the walk, one who is trying to please the Lord.
Actually my advice would be like Pauls was for the single people of his day, he was talking about time being short way back in his day but wow, now we are truly close..

1Co 7:7 I wish everyone could be like me. But God has given each person a different ability. He makes some able to live one way, others to live a different way.
1Co 7:8 Now for those who are not married and for the widows I say this: It is good for you to stay single like me.
1Co 7:9 But if you cannot control your body, then you should marry. It is better to marry than to burn with sexual desire.
1Co 7:26 This is a time of trouble. So I think it is good for you to stay the way you are.
1Co 7:27 If you have a wife, don't try to get free from her. If you are not married, don't try to find a wife.
1Co 7:28 But if you decide to marry, that is not a sin. And it is not a sin for a girl who has never married to get married. But those who marry will have trouble in this life, and I want you to be free from this trouble.
1Co 7:29 Brothers and sisters, this is what I mean: We don't have much time left. So starting now, those who have wives should be the same as those who don't.

See if the following scripture says anything to you and for heaven sake if you have any doubts at all about if you are truly saved then you better be finding out.

Eph 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;
Eph 5:4 nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.
Eph 5:5 For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with empty words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.
Eph 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them;
Eph 5:8 for ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light
Eph 5:9 (for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),
Eph 5:10 proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;
Eph 5:11 and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;
Eph 5:12 for the things which are done by them in secret it is a shame even to speak of.
Eph 5:13 But all things when they are reproved are made manifest by the light: for everything that is made manifest is light.
Eph 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee.
Eph 5:15 Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise;
Eph 5:16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Eph 5:17 Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Eph 5:18 And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;
Eph 5:19 speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
Eph 5:20 giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;

Peace my friend

Thanks Shelley. And thanks for the testimony. I want what you have. God bless.

Interesting. Thanks for that.
