Should someone like me who seeking to be a Christian go to the bar or club scene? If I am strong enough to not sin against God, does it matter?

I would be very careful, because even though you may not have troubles, someone else might and seeing you there, they may think it's okay to go and then may struggle with it a lot. I also agree with NOTWHATIWAS, about staying in places that are pure and pleasing to God, I personally don't like the atmosphere in a bar and such so I don't really have a desire to go.

It depends on what you do there (and I'm not talking about going into a bar in order to evangelize). And it also may depend on what you have in mind when you say "club scene." That's obviously not a reference to stopping in to the neighborhood bar after work to enjoy a drink and perhaps a few minutes of conversation.Should someone like me who seeking to be a Christian go to the bar or club scene? Firstly you ain't a nobody.
What be your reason for going to the bar or to a club?
Are you there to provide transportation home for someone who is drunk?
If you ain't born again (saved) then you still in your old nature and be very inclined to do
what isn't godly. Since you be asking if you should go, you know that you shouldn't.
If you be serious about the Lord, then keep hard on the narrow path that lead to him.
Here is something for you...http://www.gotquestions.org/how-can-I-be-saved.html
Are you there to preach the gospel? They wont hear you above the din.
What do you mean by seeking to be a Christian ? At this present time are you a christian or not ? Either way, I can tell you that you are not going to find happiness in a bar. I can tell you that from experiences from before I became christian.
Besides like kit said, I also think you knew the answer even before you asked. There are christian fun things to do just as notwhatiwas said, if nothing else if you are going to church form your own group to do christian types of things with. There are few christians dead enough to sin to go hang in a bar. You only go into a den of wolves IF Jesus says to and He will never send anyone in such a place unless He knows you are able to. Also again as someone else said, you need to think about what it looks like to others to say you are a christian and go into a bar.......
1Th 5:22 From all appearance of evil refrain yourselves.
If you are wanting to just go hang in a bar then you need to check yourself...I mean check yourself using the Bible as a guideline. now if you are wanting to witness to someone then catch them outside the bar.
Be strong in the Lord. If you follow Biblical prophecy you know time is really getting short, focus on the things of God.
2 Cor. 13:5 Try your own selves if you be in the faith: prove ye yourselves. Know you not your own selves, that Christ Jesus is in you, unless perhaps you be reprobates?
Lamentations 3:40 Let us examine and probe our ways, And let us return to the LORD.
God bless
keep yourself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27

Would that be tempting God, brother?
What do YOU think?
"And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." ~Luke 4:12
Probably. I definitely don't want to do that.
I think it is not a good environment for me.
Praying for you (((hug)))
Thank you, brinny.
Wow. Very blunt.
I can sometimes be too blunt for some people as I have already found out on here, lol But I would rather be blunt and try to help someone than to be wishy washy and help someone go to hell.
I don't know if I am a Christian. Maybe I am not. I have accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. But I still sin. That's why I question it. But I know you are right. Jesus said you either are with me or against me.
Also, I can see you are right time is getting short. I don't want to end up on the wrong said at the end.
