Luke 14, 33
So therefore, whoever of you does not renounce ALL that he has,
CANNOT be My disciple.
I wonder , those that are disciples of Christ today, would you be willing to share
how you renounced ALL that you had, and became Christ's disciple.
To renounce All, does this include our...
possessions,
our choice of where we work and what we do
whom we marry, if indeed God allows us a spouse
all our right where to spend our money, if there is any left, after we have sold everything and gave it away
our choices in who we interact with, where we fellowship, what truth's we hold to,
our freedom in what we communicate and how we speak to others
in short are we to renounce our free will, our right to live our life
in order to be His disciple?
If so, would this be considered losing one's life, in order to have real life?
Can a believer even have life, unless he lost his own life and renounced it?
Is this why Jesus gives us our own cross to bear, so that our old man can be put to death on it?
Is this what Paul is referring to in Romans 6,...we are crucified with Him, buried with Him,
raised with Him to newness of life?
If this were the case, would the old man (the flesh) have to be crucified, dead, and buried,
before the new life or newness of life (new creation) can come forth?
So if there is any disciples of Christ among you, can you by your own experience show forth,
how this is all to be understood and how to practically live this.
As an after thought, if the old man (sinful nature, flesh) is indeed dead, is it then possible
in this new creation to live righteously and do the will of God with a pure new heart and be no longer defeated by sin?
And if so can we truly love Him and keep His commandments, as it is His new Life in us that one
lives by now?
Looking forward to the testimonials concerning these things.
May our Lord bless you richly.
