1. Saying Goodbye to a Great Staffer: Edial
Please help me wish Edial a wonderful blessed journey as he steps down from CF staff.
His footprint on our ministry will always remain but his presence will be greatly missed. I'm sure he will come around as a member to all his favorite forums but for now please join me at his profile page to wish him many thanks for the years of service he has brought to us all.
All of us on CF staff will miss him dearly!!

@Pontifex: We do not become Christians by ourselves. Faith is above all a gift from God which is given to us in and through the Church."

nah, he's just an ol' fashioned heretic is all, no biggie, dime a dozen they are.

Catholics would probably defend that statement by saying; "by Church, He means Christ, who is the head of the Church". Classic case of how ambiguous statements rarely do a person any favor. If he means anything other than Christ by "Church", then he is way out in left field. As though any of the Apostles by the authority vested in them, mystically transferred faith or grace to anyone. Meh, that was fun, next...

He is a romanist, not really too concerned about what sub-type of romanist he is

I do like how the new pope laid the smackdown on the 'bling' bishop.

  8. Nope. They would say he literally meant "the Church". It is the only way to receive the Roman Catholic sacraments. He contradicts himself all the time though because for some reason Atheists can STILL get to heaven without the "Church". By what he says, I have a better chance of getting to heaven as an atheist than as a Protestant. Although, he leans toward Universalism if you ask me. And ya know, he's got the keys. So were all good.
