Perhaps God has always been knit into our DNA and that holiness is not hard and sin is not seperate. Both coexist, as God does, otherwise we have a weak God.

People are important to God. Sin destroys people. Holiness is what we are called to.

Good conscience is a relative commodity for many people. Only those who have the forgiveness of God by the washiong fo the blood of Jesus Christ in repentance for personal sin can one have clean conscience. God then views us through His Son and sees us as holy people.
