BTW, I am not in the music industry because I can't afford to be. I couldn't pay the rent on what I made starting out, and my "day jobs" took all of my effort since they actually went against my talents, leaving me with no energy or time to put into live stage work or studio production.
I do think that artists should make a living. I just don't think that blaming people exposing others to your music will help that cause.
