I Am Committed

I AM COMMITTED!!

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.

I am a part of the fellowship of the unashamed.
I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made.
I will not look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.

My past is redeemed. My present makes sense. My future is secure.
I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning,
smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking,
cheap living and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, position or popularity.
I don’t have to be right. I don’t have to be first. I don’t have to
be recognized. I don’t have to be praised. I don’t have to be
regarded. I don't have to be rewarded.

I am committed to the Lord Jesus Christ.
I now live by faith. I lean on His presence. I walk with patience.
I live by prayer. I labor in love. My face is set. My road is narrow.
My way is rough. My companions may be few, but my Guide is reliable.
My mission is clear. I cannot be bought, deluded or delayed.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice.
I will not hesitate in the presence of adversity.
I will not negotiate at the table of the enemy.
I will not meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I won’t give up. I won't shut up.
I won’t let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up
and preached up for the cause of Jesus Christ.


I am a disciple of the Lord Jesus.
I will go till He comes. I will give till I drop.
I will preach till all know. I will work till He stops me.
And when He comes, He will find faith and commitment in my life.
When He comes, He will have no problem recognizing me, in Jesus' name.
Lord, use me. Amen

Very inspiring words and I am sure God can feel this strength in your walk with Him. Just remember, if your a new Christian, that at first for most of us(I know it happened to me)you are on total fire for Christ-then as you become closer to God, the roads get much tougher. Times will be hard and your faith will be tested time and time again. These are the times where God can help to teach, strengthen, and make you grow. Always " fight the good fight of faith". God bless and once again " enjoy the ride"!

Shoot, I should have said; I've been serving Christ for about 16 years now. I posted that to encourage new Christians (and everybody). We all feel that way in the beginning, and through the years I've known many valleys and mountain peaks. You are right. Thank you for your kind words. God bless you, s.b.grace.
