Does anyone know how much was a shekel worth during Yeshua's time?

According to my Oxford Dictionary of the bible a shekel is a measurement, more preciesly, a unit of weight. It equals about 2/5ths an ounce of 14.5 grams of silver. It says in Yeshua's time this was a silver coin of the same weight.
