However, modern fasting is different, give up your favorite things,
and also you can pick any day of the week to your convenience, as God just wants you to keep the Sabboth Day.

Who said you get to pick your convenience day and call it the Sabbath rest of the Lord? Who said you can go against God's Will and declare your own day of rest as the Lord's and He will approve?

Was Yeshua's of private interpretation? Or was Yeshua's the right interpretation? Volumes of scholars, studies, etc don't make it gospel. It is worth considering where it came from, who does it support, why is it interpreted that way, and is it consistent with the Will of God and the Way Yeshua lived and interpreted it.

There are such throughout history that take the designated day for rest away from others, by imposition or persecution. Even when they are thinking they do God a service in that, they go against what Yahweh said, and as was said such is subject to judgment. In the coming reign of the Christ, Messiah, in our world it will be made clear.
