An openly gay pastor who claimed that a grocery store bakery wrote a homophobic message on his cake has dropped his lawsuit against Whole Foods, claiming he made up the story, according to news reports. (More)

Last I heard Whole Foods dropped their lawsuit too. I doubt they are going to press any charges after doing that.

Agreed. I'd think this fraud Brown perpetrated and the suit he filed through his attorney would constitute an extortion attempt.

Brown's undoing came when it was discovered the person who created his cake so as to have, Love Wins, iced on the top was a member of the LGBTQ community. Not likely a homophobic slur would be something they'd commit to when decorating a cake.
