hey people..i'm new

Hi all,
Good to be here. I used to be a christian through and through but lately I thin ki've lost my faith. I find myself questioning more and more why god would do the things he's done to me.

First incident was probably about six months ago. My grandmother died in a freak car accident in which her winshield was smashed and a chunk of glass got stuck i nher head, and i'm certain it was not her time. She was taken from me and I am still bitter about it.
The second thing that made me think was when i was tryin gto find a job. I'm fresh out of high school so I don't have much experience. Now i'm not a stupid guy but how in the heck do i not get accepted into mcdonalds or burger king?? And idiot can work there..except me apparently. Then i tried aplying for other less mentally "demanding" jobs. I tried to get into some landscaping but i'm too weak and they take one look at me and say heck no...this guy couldn't lift a feather. Finally i got a job beign a janitor. A lowly stinky janitor at a old folks home. And that ain't pretty.
So i'm here to try and find my way back if some people can help convince me that there is a god and that he's not spiting me.

Busta.... welcome. Remember that all things occur according to God's plan.... regardless whether we agree...! I'm sorry to hear about your loss..... but it definitely was in God's time, although you may seriously disagree...! Maybe God wants you to be a janitor.... maybe you need to see the people there, or to meet someone or to touch their lives. I'm sure Joseph didn't want to be sold into slavery by his brothers, or to be jailed, etc.... but it was the path God chose for him... to be 2nd in command of all Egypt!
Maybe God is humbling you because you have turned your back or questioned his love.... so maybe you should be a cheerful janitor,,,,? No one can convince you whether there is a God or not..... it is a matter of faith. You know there is a God. Remember.... THY will be done, not MY will be done...... Praying for you brother...!

I did not question his love until these things happened though. Like i said...before hand i was devout. Then, during my faith he threw this into the mix. I don't see the reason.

I mean, be honest, were you living a lifestyle pleasing to God...? Even if you were, when bad things happen, Satan uses them to make you question God.... one of his favorite tactics....! His whole goal is to separate you from God...... Get back into the Word.....! Remember, this Earth is Satan's.... Jesus reclaims it in the 2nd coming.... so is it any wonder we question things, like bad things happening to us...?? Put on the whole armor of God
(Ephesians 6) and get back in the battle.....!

Ask yourself this. Why should you live your life to please someone else who for all you know doesn't exist? Shouldn't you be making yourself happy as well? Where do you draw the line of pleasing god and pleasing yourself?

Why should I.....? Well, ask yourself this.... this lifetime, however long or short, will surely end in death. After that, it's either smoking or non-smoking..... Sorry to hear about your loss. We have all had some down times in our walk in faith. Jesus is always there to get us back on track, and sometimes the reasons why these things happen will be made apparent, if not in this life, then in the Heavenly Kingdom.
