Ananias matter is one of being under law rather than his action. Curse works only for those under law. Under grace curse has no place.

This was what happened to adam. Curse came to him when he chose law & not becz he was moving in God's presence in eden in a naked fashion.

To be precise, under law actions are judged but under grace actions are not seen-eph2:8,9.

but 'we' are not like that . for god has now,-IF we are born again - ,written his law upon our hearts ,so we know when something is right or wrong without needing the written law to tell us .we are not without the law ..we are in christ who is the fulfillment of it .

There is no transgression in the absence of law (rom4:15).

If we believe that we are still old men, and that sin still has authority over us, guess what we are told? The law has dominion over us as long as we are alive. That is why it is not optional to reckon ourselves dead, and that we owe the old nature nothing.

But when we realize the fullness of what Christ actually accomplished for us, that old old nature DID die when Christ died.... not positionally but in full technicolor reality, and we by faith arm ourselves with that truth, it is then that the devil finally has his hold over us broken.

We have fallen into such deep unbelief about the fact we can be kept from falling, and we can and will be caused to take the way of escape when Satan comes tempting. It is this truth that Satan has succeeded in blinding us to, and because of this, we are forced into positions where sin does not matter because of grace, when that is the furthest thing from the truth.

There is a way to put off our nature and to leave its carnality forever. We instead try to tame it, to allow it only so much maneuvering room, thinking that this is the Christian walk. But the flesh is still the flesh. One does not grow from fleshly man to a holy natured man. It is a radical act of desperate faith, and why are we desperate, just as Paul was in Romans 7? Because we hate how we are walking and not obeying Him in all things, misrepresenting Him with our worldliness and hypocrisy.

And there is the real issue. How many among us simply do not lament their carnal natures, their stubborn self will, their lack of the true fruits of the Spirit. A breaking must happen, and it will. And what will break? Our sin hardened hearts.

We are about to awake to the truth that God will deliver us.....but only when we seek Him.....AND His righteousness with our whole hearts. It is coming and it will be glorious, but there are many a tear that must fall, and many layers of religious pride that must be demolished, before that will happen.

Thank God, our Father is stubborn enough to not let us stay on the path of blindness and for many, we will be drug onto the Highway of holiness kicking and screaming. But praise God, when our eyes finally see the fullness of our salvation, that He saved us not just from the penalty we deserved, but that He also saved us from US, we will look back on what we staunchly defended, God winking at our continued sin because of grace, and we will be ashamed.....and then gloriously joyful.

The law or principle which God has written in our hearts is not about kge but of His grace given thru His Son.

There is no doubt that the concept of holiness has taken a huge step backwards in the last twenty years or so in the church. Not just one denomination. ALL of them. The question is why?

Listen. The answer is quite simple. It is because we have not been taught how to do it, nor that it is even possible. Instead we are taught that as Christians, we are to try the best we can, but of course we are just still sinners saved by grace, and no one can truly become holy so why sweat it? Oh, we start out on our Pilgrim's Progress journey really trying. And we fail. And fail again. After several years of this, hearing about holiness, or walking as living sacrifices, or keeping our bodies and under makes us feel guilty, so it must not be of God. Our minds and hearts click to the OFF position. And then the deception begins.....

As a result our hearts hardened by continued sin, often unrepented of sin, we end up seeing ourselves as more enlightened than saints that preceded us, as we have a deeper understanding of grace. No one is perfect, we reason. We are totally forgiven, we reason. Trying to be holy just depresses us, so something in our spirits becomes hardened to the concept, until at last hearing the word eventually becomes tied to legalism and working for our salvation.

Satan has done his work well. We have become those that have a form of godliness but deny the power of it. God tells us sin shall not have dominion over us. We do not believe Him. He tells us He will keep us from falling. We do not believe Him. Faith has been unseated by logic, and we are back eating from the tree of the Knowledge, rather than the tree of Life.

Doing God's will has been replaced by the happiness and freedom our new grace gives us to "not have to do that anymore". We are asleep to truth. Scriptures that plainly warn us of the danger of sin for us now fall on deaf ears. Exhortations to not lower our shields of faith, to not let sin into our lives? Blind. A deeping desire to obey our Master, to do His will, not ours? Deaf.

There is a solution, but we cannot hear it until we accept that danger is still posed by allowing sin into our lives. Doing our own wil, with Jesus's bus pass to Heaven pulled out every Sunday for 90 minutes is the epitome of Laodecian lukewarmness. God hates that response. It makes Him sick. Do we see that? Guys, the very essence of our salvation is that we lose our life to gain His in us. We get Him when we give Him us. And when the scales are removed from our eyes by tears, we will be able to awake in these final days to that very deep but very hidden truth.

And what will we awake to? We will awake to righteousness and sin not, just as God said! But what will be different this time, when we failed so miserably the last time we tried full surrender? Praise God, because we will finally see that we have been given new natures and that God promises to actually "cause us" to obey when we by faith put our new natures on.

It is quite simple really. Our victory is assured when we finally agree with God. That is it. No more trying to make the black dog in us do white dog tricks. We are new. The black dog in us is gone, reckoned dead by faith alone. Long live the white dog in us. Christ in us, the hope of glory.

And to our amazement, we will find that obedience, walking holy in an increasingly unholy world, is not just possible. It is assured by God Himself! We will no longer fight "for" the victory. We will no longer rest content with positional holiness with no desire for the real thing. We will be planted in victory ON the highway of holiness, and stand fast in the faith of what God has already done in Christ. He has made us white dogs. No more battle. Overcoming by faith alone will be the gift to every single one of His children.

Do you feel disheartened? Do you feel it may be for others but not you? You are too weak, too bound, too far from victory to ever walk as an overcomer in this life. Not so! Take heart! God has said that He is going to plant us on the highway of holiness based solely upon our weak but desirous faith, even if it is but a speck. And on this glorious highway, there will be no ravenous enemy found to derail us, and a man, though he be a fool, weak and fearful, shall not err therein. No more failure. Grace forgave us. Now it is going to change and deliver us. Slam dunk city. Glory to God!

We will no longer rest content with positional holiness with no desire for the real thing. we cannot call ourselves his disciples and continue to sin - and praise god ,this is why he came . to make us overcomers as he over came , to make us the light of the world as he is the light of the world ,to make us holy as he is holy .
since this has happened in the inner man , so let us conform the outer man to it and not to the world .

in contrast .. if to live in the spirit of life we must be consistent in putting the old man to death ( as paul said , i die daily [to self will and flesh desire-and the more we do the more that old man weakens .. ,as you put ,it that black dog gets starved and grows weaker by the day].. but just so , the opposite is frightening. for if we PERSIST in doing that which we know to be sin, to do so we must put the new man to death in order to live according to the old nature of the flesh . and since the new man is the spirit and nature of the incorruptible seed of christ .. it is christ we are putting to death again and again in order to continue in the sin we know to be sin .. this is why he writes that we crucify him again .. and if we persist in doing so the scripture does not lie . there is NO sacrifice remaining .. he cannot come and die on the cross again and we will perish in our sin .

that is harsh to the ears but some need to know it , it is plainly written and warned of .

now that is NOT to say every one struggling in sin is damned , but rather that the gospel, the good news, all the more applies to them . that if they wil listen and obey its message ...

-be baptised in christ's death and be raised up into his life and be born again into a new creation
put to death the old man and from this day forth no longer serve the old nature unto sin and death , but walk in the new nature of christ unto righteousness and life they will CERTAINLY be saved as they (we) endure in him unto the end .

for this is what christ came to achieve in us and has accomplished it .. we are now responsible to apply his grace to our lives as we learn of him. it need not take many years , learn from us more foolish who took to many years to realize it (but we were taught falsely in churches and it aided the longer time to find it )

Holy means 'set apart'. From what? From the knowledge of good & evil which corrupted mankind.
By His works on cross, our Lord set us apart from kge & redeemed us.

If you are not set apart from kge you are still in the state of corruption.

Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.

Hard words for the flesh to absorb, are they not, Michael? To those bent on remaining in their fleshly self-ruling state, walking in holiness and full surrender sounds so hard, so miserably confining. It is not. In truth, the highway of holiness is the easiest walk we can even imagine. But to the flesh it is not just hard, it is impossible, and because the vast majority of believers have never heard nor believed the good news that we are no longer in the flesh, but owe it nothing, any talk of holiness just falls on deaf ears.

That is why Jesus told us that if we have ears to hear, then listen! Those content to remain in control of their own lives, set apart to themselves instead of God, sinning when temptation comes....and it always comes.... they hear the good news and immediately try to twist it into legalism.... working for our salvation. The real truth is that they love sin, they love the world, they love self more than the Lord and the thought of selling all our pearls for the one of great price repulsed them.

But God knows those that are His, for they cannot shake the feeling that God has more, much more than simply making it from Sunday to Sunday, victorious as they leave church only to slip back into defeat by Sunday night. Somehow, despite their inability to walk in real victory for more than a day or two, they innately know that overcoming is our birthright. Somehow, they are acutely aware that we have been destined to be overcomers, not to just be found hanging on, falling again and again when Satan decides to attack. Something deep inside every true child of the King there is a longing for more.... more of Him. Inside, they hate their sinning over and over, and their trying to ease the guilt by applying a grace that forgives, even when they they know-they will do it again and again.

You who identify with such a mindset, take heart. God knows those that are His, those hungry ones who refuse to twist grace into an excuse for more sin and self serving. He will not leave us unprepared to meet Him. He is even now rolling up His sleeves, moving to center us on His potters wheel, and placing His incredibly strong yet gentle hands upon each one of His children, and to our amazement transforming us into holy, incredibly joyous, totally victorious children. Do you feel like you do not have enough faith to obtain such a walk? You need not have any more than that small speck of mustard seed faith you were given the day you gave your heart to Hm. Listen closely and you will hear Him say "You have just enough!"

He will not fail us. It simply is not in His character. We serve a very faithful God!
