If I understand correctly this tidy sum would nicely cancel current Greece national debt and provide a small surplus to the treasury.

If the Germans didn’t agree to pay back when the story broke on 3/12/2015, why would they agree to pay when it is rehashed on 4/7/2015.

If the world wanted reparations, they should have sought them in the 50's.

You can't wait 60yrs and demand it when the country is profitable.

Greece just looking for someone else to pay for their handouts and cost controls the government has set up to keep the people happy. Even if they recieved the money, it wouldn't keep Greece profitable. They can't feed the beast enough to keep them happy. Greece will self destruct in debt if they can't come to grips with reality.

They did. Germany paid back a bit, but not nearly enough to cover the damage they did nor the amount they stole.

They are coming to grips with reality, but at the same time, Germany caused a ton of problems and stole a lot of money from Greece (and others) and was essentially forgiven of a significant chunk of it.
