George Zimmerman put the gun he used to kill Trayvon Martin up for auction. However, within seconds of his auction’s Thursday start time on GunBroker.com, the listing disappeared. The weapon was posted for sale on Wednesday, with a starting bid set at $5,000. In the item’s description, Zimmerman wrote, “I am honored and humbled to announce the sale of an American Firearm Icon. The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin on 2/26/2012... This is a piece of American History.” The firearms auction site based out of Atlanta has yet to comment on the removal of the pistol.

I think he had a history of issues with his temper in general...I vaguely remember something about a road rage incident.

While I feel the jury made the right call in his case (in accordance with the way the law was written), I think he showed extremely poor judgment in that even (along with other questionable events he was involved with)

NBC admitted to cutting and splicing the 911 tape in order to make Zimmerman out to be a racist vigilante. The photos of Zimmerman's bashed and bloody head were deemed counter to the narrative, so they were left out of the story.
