I just got back from filling up the tank in the family carriage, and found that our gas here in Western KY has dropped $1.75 per gallon. We cancelled our vacation, back in September, because at that time gas was $4.00 a gallon. What's it like where you are?

$1.75 a gallon as well. Which is strange, because I live in Oklahoma,
and our gas prices are generally cheaper than the rest of the nation's.

So it sounds like maybe they're being made the same everywhere?

Here in Independence, KS it's $1.95. In Kansas City last night it was $1.75

Hmmm, yesterday here in northern Wisconsin it was at $2.19.

Current state and city average gas prices from Gasbuddy, And they rank them! They also have the Canadian figures.
Both Missouri and Kansas City are the lowest in the nation.

I also find it just a little odd that about the time Bush gets elected,
gas prices begin to skyrocket. McCain loses the election,
and gas prices mysteriously start to return to normal.

I know there's likely an official story,
but I'm trying to discern the fruits

The way I remember it, gas prices were rather stable until 9-11, that is when gas prices skyrocketed.

McCain losing the election had nothing to do with falling gas prices, the terrible economy is the only reason for why the bottom is falling out.

I know there's likely an official story,
but I'm trying to discern the fruits
by these statements...nothing more.

The way I remember it, gas prices were rather stable until 9-11, that is when gas prices skyrocketed.

McCain losing the election had nothing to do with falling gas prices, the terrible economy is the only reason for why the bottom is falling out.

Gas prices started going down before the elections. I heard several people say that when the elections were over the prices would go back up...that them going down was just a ploy of the republicans to make people think things were going well when they were not.

WOW, come to Australia and you won't go anywhere. We were paying $1:50 per litre ($5:35 USD per gallon) a week ago, and it has now dropped to $1:20 per litre ($4:25 USD per gallon).
