My soul waits for the LORD more than watchmen for the morning

Mother Christophora and two Mothers from The Orthodox Monastery of the Transfiguration, Fr. Thomas' dear neighbors, saw him today. They had a good and comforting visit with Matushka Anne, who remains at his side.
They took the decorated Cross from the monastery chapel and sang hymns of the Cross. They also "blessed" Fr. Thomas with the Cross and placed it on his head. They offered a few other prayers during their visit and sang hymns of Holy Week. One of the Mothers read the 17th chapter of St. John's Gospel near his ear.
Father, breathing calmly and quietly, eyes always closed, seemed to react to all this in the very slightest but clear ways: raising his eyebrows, with slight mouth movements during the singing.
The Mothers found the hospice house to be truly excellent, beautiful, clean, and bright, and, thanked God that Matushka and the entire family are so pleased by the facility and overwhelmed by the kindness of the staff.
Mother Christophora ended her recount of the visit by asking that the Lord shine His face upon him. Amen!

MEMORY ETERNAL!
Fr. Thomas reposed peacefully today, March 18, shortly after 3 pm.
The last of his five children, who had not been able to visit him at the hospice until today, arrived this morning. She told him that she came, and now he could go. And, by the mercy of God, he reposed after spending much of the day with her.
No funeral plans yet. They will be posted as soon as they are available.
MEMORY ETERNAL!
Fr. Thomas has reposed. Memory eternal!
