If an emergency or misfortune should strike today, who could you depend on to drop everything and help. Among my greatest treasures, is the handful of people I know that I can depend on no matter what!
A reputation for being on time for an appointment, meeting, or work; for doing what you promise when you promise to do it, for fulfilling your commitments to spouses, family and friends are all linked to dependability.

Jesus knew a lot about dependability. His disciples carried to their grave the sadness that they didn’t stay awake while He prayed, that they disappeared when the going got rough.
It is an all too unfortunate fact of this life that many people you depend on are going to disappoint you.
Perhaps the greatest fact of eternal life in Christ is that when we enter into a relationship with someone in whom we can depend totally and without reservation.
You can trust in other people, in possessions, looks, and your own abilities all you want, but without trust in the Lord and His promises that are ours in Christ, sooner or later they are going to disappoint you.

Father, thank you for the realization that I am totally dependent upon You for every breath I take, every day I live. Keep me ever mindful that You are faithful and dependable. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Let love be the guiding light of your life.
Serve the Lord out of love rather then of fear.
Teach people the word because you love people rather then out of desire to change them.
Learn new things out of love of truth rather then the desire of self advancement.
Let all things be done out of love, for in the Kingdom of Heaven love flows in and out of every being and creature.
This is the essence of "Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven".
If you abound with love for God and for others you have obeyed the law and the prophets and are doing the will of God on earth

"Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31).
"Repent" means to turn from all the deceitful promises of sin.
"Faith" means being satisfied with all that God promises to be for us in Jesus. "He who believes in me," Jesus says, "shall never thirst."
We do not earn our salvation. We cannot merit it. It is by grace through faith.
It is a free gift. We will have it if we cherish it above all things.
When we do that, God's aim in creation is accomplished: He is glorified in us and we are satisfied in him - forever.

The Bible is the revelation of God's will to man. It is a self-disclosure by God giving us information we could not gain from any other source. It begins with the book of Genesis, explaining in just a few chapters, how the human race was brought into existence by the personal activity of the God who created the universe.

It shows that the first man and woman were the objects of His love and special attention. They were created "in His image" (Genesis 1:26-27), and were given the privilege of regular communication with Him (Genesis 2:15-17; 3:8) One man and one woman were appointed, not only as the progenitors of our race, but also as God's stewards, His custodians and caretakers over the creation.

They were created with the characteristics of mind, emotions, personality, and will. They were made creative, imaginative, inventive, artistic, capable of loving and being loved--and above all, able to worship.

As I address you today, I am addressing believers.
We see how God has been faithful to us!
We see how God has kept all of the promises that He has ever made to us!
May we choose to remain faithful to God, because He has chosen us.

After all, this is the God who created us.
This is the God who loved us so much that He couldn’t just leave us in our sin.
This is the God who demonstrated his love by sending Jesus to earth to live a perfect life for us.
This is the God who knew we couldn’t earn our way to heaven, so He sent His Son to the cross,
to pay for every single one of those sins.
This is the God whom the grave could not hold.
This is the God that we are called to serve.
Knowing that God has been faithful to us…

May we Renew our Promise to be
Faithful & Serve Him.
As the scriptures say, "God is faithful and just. He will forgive us our sins, and purify us from all unrighteousness."
May we renew our promise to remain faithful to Him, and serve Him.
