That reminds me of a thread I once started where I asked which would be harder:

A scientist sitting in a church, or a Christian working in a laboratory?

Something like that.

You do know that scientists can also be Christians, right?

What if we went with a pentagonal-shaped block with the Ten Commandments written in all of those languages, as well as English. Would you be against it then?
Yes.

It's interesting that you make this point.

I'm of the persuasion that science is mostly witchcraft today.

So I guess I would just consider such a display to be a mockery.

Yes, I am aware of your desire to equate science to witchcraft so you can demonize it and so you can go and live in a world similar to that of the 15th century.
Would a six sided block, with Old English thrown in make you feel more comfortable.

How about an English version other than Elizabethan language?
You mean Jacobean?

For the record, I would consider an anglicized version as mockery.

I've made this point many times here, and it's worth making again:

When I buy a Bible, the first thing I do is open it to Numbers 11:4 and see how "mixt" is spelled.

If it's spelled "mixed," the piece of trash goes back on the shelf.

You believe in witches? I don't.
Too bad.

That's your blindspot -- not mine.

Albeit, witches today aren't anything like the true witches in the Old Testament.

I have a good feeling that anything you label as witchcraft is really anything you don't like.

Ya ... when I order a cheeseburger and Freedom Fries at McDonald's, I tell them to leave the witches' onions off.

Because I really don't care for diced onions.

Thus referencing one of my earlier posts concerning "Fundamental Extremists".

Who puts diced onions on a burger anyway?

Of course. See www.biologos.org for an example of those who embrace theistic macro evolution.

Do you embrace theistic macro evolution?

ecco said:
It really does have everything to do with evolution. People, like yourself, who are creationists disbelieve evolution because you take a literal reading of Genesis. Some people who take a literal reading of Genesis also still believe in Geocentricity. I was just wondering how literally you read Genesis.

You still haven't answered. Is this another view you are embarrassed by?

Nothing to answer. The question concerning geocentricity isn't about evolution (whatever form of evolution you personally embrace).

Uh huh. I'll remind you of that the next time you post something that's not exactly "on topic".

So @AV1611VET, are you actually going to acknowledge that I did answer your question. Because here's the answer again:
If the British government did decide to post the Ten Commandments in Parliament (that is the correct way of spelling it), I would view as an unnecessary move.

No, I don't think you answered my question.

Your vague answer leaves me just as in the dark.

What do you mean by 'an unnecessary move'?

How is that a vague answer?
It means what is says. It is unnecessary. AKA, it doesn't need to be done.

The problem lies in "Fundamental Extremists" in both religion and politics. In other words, the belief that their way is the only way.

As I said, people misusing religion is the problem in the world, not religion itself.

I disagree. The problem with religions is that scripture can be interpreted many different ways. Regardless of how it is interpreted, those doing the interpretation believe they have the "truth of god" to support their views.
