Ummm....what do you think happens when you pray to learn patience or to grow in patience?The Lord sends you things to teach you patience.
When we have the same trials over and over again---it's a gift, because we're not learning whatever it is that we're supposed to be learning. (Writes the queen of the very same six challenges which meet her again and again and again......)
Exactly. That is why I watch what I pray for and mean what I pray. Gift or not, I get tired of being bopped up aside the head, but then realize that that seems to be the only way for God to really get my attention and co- operation a lot of times. Oh I might as well be honest...most of the time...sigh...
After reading this whole thread, I am going to have a cup of tea, pray, begging God's mercy as today I can't take the discipline of getting whacked. And then I will take my Winny the dog for a walk.
