I got a call at 2am last night saying I was an angel sent to save ...ah LOL (3 messages left on voicemail)

I gave a tract to a guy called David Two weeks ago, in fact I was led to in a packed train.....he has made contact and left a message for me to contact him. Please pray.

I felt the Spirit descend on me last night quite strongly as I prayed briefly for him.

    I think he's ready...:)

Funny, when I was in my legalist of the legalists" phase, I too had a tract ministry....to all the elders and deacons in my large church. LOL. Every service, there I was, chasing them down the aisles. I met one not long ago and he had to laugh like I did at the memories of one of the few men with a tract ministry to Christian leaders. Shy was not my middle name.

Most of the tracts were Keith Green tracts from Last Days Ministries (They are still available and awesome) and newsletters from David Wilkerson, but the first one I wrote was IN 1986 and titled "Repentance- Only Hope for a Sleeping Bride". I saw the problem almost as clearly as today, but I had no clue what to do from there.
God in His mercy finally showed me step number two.... BELIEVE!

Tract ministries can be awesome. You are a true blessing to me brother. I am praying....

A co-worker gave me a tract, so many years ago.
I remember sitting in the airport restaurant, and reading it.
It was a Campus Crusade for Christ tract, on The Four Spiritual Laws.
God used it to begin drawing me nearer to Him ...

Was so very cool, that this co-worker cared enough, and was courageous enough, to give it to me.

We worked together amongst others in a very male-dominated 'macho' kind of field.
It was an environment where it would have been very 'challenging' to take a stand for Christ.
I wonder sometimes today, how many others were given a tract by this man,
and have since found faith in God ...

    May God bless Ron.

I look forward to running into him in heaven one day.
Amongst his last words to me were "see you in heaven", and I was not even a Christian then yet ...

It's kind of ironic then, since Last Days published an excellent edition of a Charles Finney sermon that they called "How to Overcome Sin," that is very much in line with your current message. Maybe instead of handing it out, you should have read it. ;)

Of course, I throw Chick tracts away when I see them left out for people to take. Those things are evil.

They are dark, even when speaking of Jesus, and legalistic. Jack Chick has no problem calling good evil in his tracts, and attacking those walking in more obedience to God than he is. Jesus's statement to the pharisees about walking a mile to win one convert and then making him twice the son of Hell that they are comes to mind. There is no grace in a chick tract. Sure he always gives the last page of every one of his tracts to the cross, and reciting the magic pill prayer, but then what? Is it by God's grace that we then walk in righteousness or by our own effort at turning from Mr Chick's sin of the day?

I became saved when, on an Easter afternoon, a local pastor, out with two of his young sons, came knocking at my door. He stood there and asked me if I died tonight, would I go to heaven. As a cradle Catholic I said that I didn't know for sure. He opened a small 'tract' that was very simplistic and, at first glance, intellectually insulting. But, my veil was rented, God's awesome Truth about Jesus's Saving Grace bathed this wretched soul and I became born again. Nothing in all the libraries of the world, can illumined your soul as sharing the Good News. I thank Father God for sending this faithful pastor to my door, who, though being a doctor of theology, was not ashamed to share his tract with me!

I would never discount what God does. A friend of mine met Jesus through a guy who falsely accused me of flirting with sin basically because I wasn't enough of a hypocrite. If God used jack chick to get you saved praise God!
