Yes, but only when the owner/player is at the service and we are singing hymns/songs.
My husband and I are members of the Caravanners and Campers Christian Fellowship in Northern Ireland and we have a worship band playing at the meetings at most of the rallies we attend. The line-up includes drums, played by a man in his late 60s, early 70s. Recently when we were attending a rally, some of us, including our drummer, went to the local Baptist Church and the pastor announced that the drummer from the worship band wasn't there, then asked if there was a drummer in the congregation. Well, if our friend was wanting to take a break from drumming and sit quietly, not saying anything, he didn't have a chance, because the rest of us pointed very obviously at him and urged him to go on up and play, which he did without too much objection.
