All right, I understand why Dean would appear in a show like the 700 club, he wants to show conservative Christians that the Democratic party is not as bad as they might think. However, why didn't he have ready answers to those type of questions? Typical, ambigious, political answers that are easy to interpret in many ways while making them palatable to the desired demographic.

I hope Dean remains as the party chairman until 2009

You may have a point, if Conservative Christians watched and listened to the 700 Club. But honestly, we know that this isn't true. The 700 Club draws the Rightest of the Right, not any random Conservative. He had no reason at all to go on that show. Republicans don't even go on that show. (Except for Delay... but... he's going to jail and doesn't matter anymore)

Since Idon't watch it I really don't know the demographic of that show. Though I would think that more than just the "rightest of the right" watches it, but I don't have any way to prove it.

Again, at least I give kudos to Dean for having the guts to appear in the 700 club.....he had the guts but forgot his brains somewhere else...

hmmmm....b.r.a.i.n.s.... :yum:

I just don't get it. Why anyone, Democrat or Republican, but mostly Democrat, would even associate themselves with Pat Robertson. If you look up "Whacky Extremist Losing his Mind" in the dictionary, there'd be a picture of Pat Robertson next to it.

Maybe because "Whacky Estremist" tend to vote. Both REpublicans and Democrats would gladly take their votes.

I guess, but I'd be more afraid of what being associated with those types would do to the rest of the country, than pulling in the few votes.

John Conyers (D-MI), ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, speaks at a Lyndon LaRouche meeting. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) attended the notoriously antisemitic United Nations' World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia And Related Intolerance, Jim McDermott (D-WA) went to Baghdad and embraced Saddam, Barbara Lee (D-CA) was an aid to convicted killer Huey Newton and sat on a committee with Communist Party USA candidate for president Angela Davis, Major Owens (D-NY) attended CUNY's Socialists Scholars Conference and the chairman of their party, Howard Dean, is interviewed on the 700 Club and says Democrats have a lot in common with Christian evangelicals.

Somewhat of a disconnect in Democratic Party it appears

Yeah, you'd almost think someone would write an entire post that consisted of nothing but Guilt By Association to try and attack them! You'd think that person would rewrite history, and claim that the US delegation didn't, say, withdraw from the WCAR as a result of the problems with it. You'd think that person would then go on to claim that the controversy over Jim McDermott's visit was due to something besides his claim that Saddam had disarmed and had no WMDs.

But then you'd have to ask, why would a person write such a dishonest post?

I'd like to be in Heaven to hear the conversation between the Lord and Robertson.

I'm not God, so I don't know if Pat Robertson is going to hell. I do know that he is an apostate by his actions and words. Paul said first time a brother sins, confront. If unrepentant, bring witnesses. If still unrepentant, ignore, treat as a tax collector, no friends here...

...the Bible says it, I believe it, that settles it!

BTW, look for this post at FSTDT tomorrow:thumbsup:

So much more. Howard Dean is linked to liberals like _____, ______, and ______. He was in _____ when Maoist insurgents blew up a _____ and he even.... "

You know, the same form letter used on all Democrats.

Is George Soros one of those blanks?
