A real American would have had a gun and used it in this situation.

Are you talking about the father or the lunatic? The father definitely would've been justified in using force considering there was a psychopath in the bathroom getting physically violent in close proximity to his children.

Maybe the father should have armed his daughter and made her wait outside to not offend or bother those who pushed for these kinds of laws.

Only an armed five year old can stop violence.

I agree that he would be justified, assuming that Walmart has no policy against weapons. However, I personally would be very hesitant to use a gun in a hand-to-hand situation where the attacker could grab the gun, putting my children at greater risk. There's also the risk of the bullet ricocheting off the tiles.

The father. Someone assaults you with your kids nearby, you teach him and your kids a valuable lesson.

Did the father do something wrong?
In my opinion Yes .For a start he should have thought beforehand of where he could go and should have apologised and moved his child as far as possible from the man who was embarrassed and probably Christian . Little girls should not see the private parts of adult men - full stop .

Yes, the father did not intend to meet irrational idiots in the restroom. I recall having to take my young daughter into a mens restroom because it was that or I go into the womens. Good thing I did not meet any irrational idiots when I had to do it.

This is why the whole restroom issue is completely ludicrous. Since when is it "law worthy" to establish who follows what sign on the restroom doors? Next thing we know people will be arrested for bringing a two year old boy into a womens restroom to change his diaper.
How about use good judgement. If you are a "man who identifies as a woman" hold yourself off in a way where we don't know you are a man if you want to use the restroom.
And don't complain about parents who send their children to the restroom alone if you are going to fight them because they are trying to protect their kids
This whole country is going down the toilet. Right wing, left wing, looks like both wings are missing brains. Use your heads people and stop finding reasons to be offended and fight one another

A man violently attacks a father in front of his children and you say he's "probably a Christian"?

Would anyone have been concerned had no executive order been made, which lead to fear?
Yes. Absolutely, 100% yes. Undoubtedly. There is no question. It is undeniable.
Again, to think that an executive order from a president informed this response really is quite laughable.

There hasn't been any executive order that applies to Walmart.

That's been the reaction to this story on the gun forums.

Tactically, you have a point. But with regard to your first sentence, the "Walmart Walk" is practically a rite of passage for new concealed carry licensees. It considered the least likely place to take official offense.

A father was assaulted in front of his children. :( Maybe the Christian thing to do is not launch into smart alec comments and feel compassion for what the children had to suffer just because they had to pee while at Walmart.

I like the report states their dad heaved this man out of the restroom and held him on the floor till security arrived.

Being assaulted as much as he was by this guy, dad must have been a pretty able bodied man to defend and heave his assailant out of the restroom and then hold him down.

Nice blame deflection. I bet the loser who attacked will use the same pathetic excuse of blaming Obama.
It worked for Sarah Palin with her loser son.
