Though I'm certainly not advocating to the OP that she chase this dude, that's still a crazy statement. Real love is hard work, the only thing that suddenly happens is real infatuation, lol.

Or you could just message him and ask if he's interested in getting caught up over a coffee or something. That'd probably be best. Going through friends can be safe, but can get frustrating and complicated.

I agree, going through your friends may not turn out very well. If you aren't comfortable meeting up with him one on one you could try setting up a group event and inviting a bunch of people including him.
