Equating deliberate genocide including the persecution of refugees with collateral damage from bomb strikes is outright pathetic.

It wasn't your children, it wasn't your wife, it wasn't your family, it wasn't your friends who died, so hey, it was just millions dying as collateral damage.

We obviously have a big difference of opinion as to what constitutes "outright pathetic."

Disregarding the intent of an action and then turning around and criticizing its cause is dishonest.
To illustrate this principle, consider the following:

The struggle for Democracy, for example in france, entailed over a quarter million casualties in the Guerre de Vendée alone. Does that mean that Democracy is a vicious ideology?

The alternative to the war on terror is to succumb to terror, just like the alternative to engaging Nazi Germany was to succumb to Nazi Germany. To consider collateral damage to be anywhere near as horrific as the systematic persecution of ethnic or religious minorities to the point that refugees are being hunted down like wild animals is a fringe opinion.

Listen, we're both strongly opposed to innocents being killed in the line of fire, but we both know that what you're suggesting is disproportionately inappropriate. There are degrees of despicability - actively filming and decapitating civillians who are fleeing from you will never ever reach the same amount of ethical depravity as an unintentional bombing of a civillian who ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I'll fully agree with you that strategies and technologies must be developed in order to minimize collateral damage. And that includes the rethinking of the US drone war in foreign countries. But to even consider implying that the US is partaking acts as evil as the Holocaust or other ethnic cleansings is absolutely bonkers.

Millions dying, who do you think we are? Stalin/ Chairman Mao?

Seriously if any innocent person dying is wrong then we simply shouldn't drive, because there is a chance you could kill someone.
