It's a really sad commentary on the level and quality of debate at CF is that a documentary like this which depicts the starvation and mistreatment of homless children in North Korea gets absolutely NO hits and no responses -- but our ongoing wars about homosexuality (which, incidentally, has not changed anyone's opinion that I know of one way or the other, but that doesn't stop us from rehashing the same stuff over, and OVER, and OVER again) typically gets scores, if not hundreds of hits.

The only think I can conclude is that basically, we really don't care about what happens to homeless children in North Korea because if they're unfortunate enough to be homeless in a country run by a mad, Stalinist dictator -- well, that's their problem, not ours.

And yes, this is a guilt trip. It is very much intended to be a guilt trip.

I intende to keep bumping this OP up to the top until people finally start reading it -- and preferably, doing something about it.

the poverty state in North Korea has always been there, but people are more concerned about their nuclear weapon than the suffering of its citizens, which is understandable, with the person in charge of NK being so obtuse.

it's probably easier to operate in Africa than North Korea, at least it's a bigger continent and with less of an authority figure around.

North Korea won't ever change for the better if they don't open up. Now i wonder whether this is all going to change when the current dictator dies a 'good old age'?

The North Korea Government
Just doesn't seem to care about their people
Especially starving children on the streets
All they care about is their nukes
Which costs like a billion dollars
And can be very deadly if they are leaked!

Who made them feel that they needed the nukes in the first place?

Thats one messed up place. Theres nothing we can do though. Im not sending one penny there to make Kim jong Il richer. We cant bomb them without killing alot of the children we might like to save. What can we do? Nothing. Foment a revolution and hope someone squashes their leadrs head like he deserves, that is all.
