Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has confirmed that he will try to change the law to allow him to remain in power indefinitely.

He's certainly an authoritarian who is no friend of America, but is he indeed a murderer? I may be wrong but I don't recall any murders on his hands (again, i may just have a bad memory.) I just know that we tend to overstate the badness of those who oppose us.

Hmm I actually thought that he was quite a decent leader. Many of his acts show him as a kind and generous leader. But reading about him wanting basically a dictatorship kind of made me lose my trust in him in a way. Politically, I believe that the longer people stay in power, the less generous he becomes. It goes more towards greed than anything else. But that is what I believe to be.

Under a perfect world, this would be fine. I do believe that people deserve to be sick of someone enough so they never elect them again.
