What? A war hero marrying into a politically connected family? If we let this bake for another ten years, it'll belong in the American Politics folder.

It might at that.
War hero in a family that has political aspirations.

Pretty good start to a Presidential run, only knowing military service with Medal of honor, and a family that is engrossed in politics.
Just from his service, he knows how to lead, he has done a selfless act for others risking life and limb to do so, sounds like he could be a great leader.

Better then several of our last(and current) presidents, on both sides of the isle. But C.Powell had a good military history, but I don't think he would be a good president. (Never thought Palin was presidential either.)

I wish them well, in what ever they pursuit.

One of the biggest fallacies that goes way back to the start of politics is the mythos that someone who has fought in a war will somehow automatically be a good Statesman.

Can a soldier make a good politician? Sure.

But it is not a given.

Lastly, I'm not a fan of someone's personal life becoming news.

FWIW, I wish any marriage success and hope they have a great life together.

I don't make it a habit of caring anymore for the personal lives of people who are well known, vs just ordinary people. That is, unless the well known person claims to be something and their personal life shows otherwise and becomes public knowledge.

Good luck to them, but I could really care less.
