• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I am recently seeing white light. It appears and disappears very quickly.
Probably faster then lightening strikes. The color of that light is completely white,
extremely white and very bright. I don't think I have seen such a clean white color
before.

I don't know what it means? But it is extremely frightening.

1. I have seen stripes of white light or pinpoint light. But many have assured me that is normal.

2. I've seen things in the dark night sky turn to bright sparks. No confirmation or denial from others.

I don't know the meaning.

Then again, I have dreams that come true. Those are worse than sparks of light.

I guess God will have to be clearer if there is something I need to take notice of.

White lights flickering which nobody else can see could be a hallucination. If others see the white light with you though, it could be an orb- paranormal phenomenon. I don't see things via hallucinations but do see orbs at times. It never bothers me so I never tell my doc about it. I think if the white light flickering impairs your daily activities, you need to get help as you are doing now and take your meds faithfully. I take meds and still see orbs. Hence, if the lights no longer bother you after you are on your meds for awhile, they were probably just hallucinations. I understand you have fear about these lights. Try to listen to your doc's advice, and be patient.

Have you ever heard donkey in the movie Srek, he tells Shrek to keep away from the white light after being hit by an arrow in the butt. Why? well people who have near death experiences see a tunnel of white light. The white light being God.

White light could be God's presence. But if it is making you afraid, it is probably old pointy horns trying to freak you out, or possibly a side effect of medication.

If I was you I would just ignore it.
