Here's a photo I took of a Fox Sparrow. This is my first time to see the Pacific 'sooty' race of this species. I haven't had a good look at a Fox Sparrow since I was in college in Alabama in the early 80's.

I got that book too! And I can't quote from the book right now since I don't have it with me and won't for a while. :/
