We were invited to move in with my uncle, then he hit a bombshell a total stranger to us was living here too. I was really angry at first, but then accepted the deal. We've been living here a week and already my husband and this guy hate each other. My husband doesn't like him trying to be extremely friendly with me, the other guy is easily offended by anything, etc... they dont get along, though we get along great with my uncle.

My uncle claims he gave the house to me, but he won't let me throw the guy out, my uncle wants to go into buisness with him.

Suggestions?

Did you move in WITH your uncle, or did he give you the house and is therefore now living with YOU? That makes a big difference. If it's his house, you either find a way to get along with the guy, or you find another place to live. If it's your house, you decide which is worse for you: upsetting your uncle and his business partner, or pacifying your uncle at the expense of your comfort.

My inclination is find a way to get along, or move.

My uncle gave the house to me, but I have not signed papers or anything. My husband's wants him out of the house and I do too... My uncle even told me he doesn't like him and right now he has no job and my uncle is completely supporting the guy. Uncles main objective is buiesness partners.

If you haven't signed papers, it's not your house - it's your uncle's house. If he has an agreement with this guy, even if it's not written, he may have legal standing to live there, and would need to be evicted to legally remove him from the property. And if you haven't signed papers, it's your uncle's house, so he would be the one who would have to initiate legal proceedings to remove him from the house.

You don't have a leg to stand on.

I think if you can't get along with him, and your uncle refuses to make him leave, you have to leave.

My uncle had the police escort him off the property, it turns out:

1.He was using a false name
2. He was lying about a bunch of other things, he even made my uncle quit his job because of what turned out to be a lie.
3. He stole some of my anxiety meds.

My uncle is turning the deed over to me as soon as next month maybe, new rule: no strangers staying with us!!!
