The ABC's of my life are art, birds and Catholicism. Since I already have a thread on birds, and I sometimes post about Catholicism, the only thing left to talk about is art. So, with deference to my friend Colin, I'm starting my own art thread. This thread is for posting art in any medium, yours or not, famous or not, love it or not, just as long as it provokes an emotional response, positive or not.

For my first entry I'm going to post a few photos by a friend of mine who was at the All Soul's Procession in Tucson last night. The ASP was started a number of years ago by a local artist to commemorate lost loved ones. It's become quite the event in the Old Pueblo.

I think you like the skull motif, right?

A lot of ppl like skull tattoos, actually.

I'm actually totally done with the skull motif. I see way too much of it around here. I just like this photographers eye and I thought I'd share a little bit of the local culture. Especially since it seems to have gotten it's inspiration from All Soul's Day.

Oh okay; I was going to post a really well done tattoo image of the Golgotha scene with a skul; but if you don't like skull, I won't.

No, post it.

I'm talking about the local skull motif. I mean, you see it every where.

Some faith based tattoos are quite artistic:
