Yup, but that doesn't imply they don't sometimes struggle with doubt.
Remember this passage?: "And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mineunbelief."

Am I one of the elect? Yes I am thank you Jesus. How do I know. For His Spirit bears witness with my Spirit and I cry out abba Father. I know that I have been born again and that I have been saved by Grace through Faith and that not of myself.. Oh what an Awesome God I have.. Full of Mercy and reachable through Christ my living King.

GODS salvation plan is three fold, first the waver sheaf being our Lord Jesus, then the first fruits and after this the harvest, all three being elected in their order,

Many called few chosen, the chosen are the called who believe they are chosen, the called also having bean chosen but do not yet believe they are.

YAHWEH would love to have ALL mankind to be saved, but not all will accept His or His Son's message concerning how one can be saved.

Rev 21:24

On this earth there are more than four and a half billion people! Paul, in I Tim. 2:1-6, gives the answer!

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for ALL MEN ... for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who WILL HAVE A-L-L M-E-N TO BE SAVED, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave Himself a RANSOM FOR ALL, to be testified in due time."

many are called but few are chosen.. It is the chosen ones that are the elect. We see in the Parable that the word of God is seed and what stops the seed from growing... God knows who He as adopted as His children and He calls them by name.

Individuals may get carried away and presume too much, but there's no way of knowing FOR SURE that you are among the elect.

It is for the faith we have is from God and nothing shakes God.. He is a sure foundation. I have complete confidence in Christ. I am secure in knowing Him.. Scripture shows us that we may know that we have eternal life.
