Anyone still think campaign spending can buy an election?

New Hampshire primary election results | Washington Post

Over $29 million was spent for Jeb, who came in 4th. The third place finisher, Ted Cruz, spent less than $0.5 million. The first place finisher spent less than $0.05 million.

Kasich spent over $7 million in New Hampshire and garnered just a few more votes than the third place finisher.

Altogether, about $70 million was spent by Republicans in New Hampshire. Of the Republicans only Kasich seems to be a big winner today ... though it's unclear whether he has support to continue campaigning in any other state.

Ted Cruz was outspent 100 to 1 in New Hampshire, yet garnered a top spot. Donald Trump was outspent 1000 to 1 in New Hampshire, yet garnered the top spot. There would seem to be some lessons to be learned.

Well, it is a mixed bag. That is in one state (granted a major state in the election but one state nonetheless. What will be instresting to note is the OVERALL spending when it comes Nov.

It would seem that the game has now changed.

A candidate who stands for nothing ... will get nothing.

Well, that makes sense. It is important people know what you stand for and you you value.

Who's gonna pay for everything he wants though?
If you actually research his positions you'll find it will come from taxes and surcharges on wall street transactions. However that isn't what was being talked about, was it?
