Osel. Yes. They feel cheated if they leave a doctor's office without a prescription. So the docs hand out antibiotics for the flu which, as you know, do nothing for the flu.

Sorry for not giving some background when I deleted this article. The FDA has banned the use of Baytril (enrofloxacin)--an antibiotic used mostly by the poultry industry. Baytril is similar to Cipro--a useful human antibiotic (used as a prophylaxis in suspected anthrax infections). The justified fear is organisms will develop immunity to Baytril and then to similiar antibiotics used by humans.
