Considering that abortion has been here since ancient times, this is often used as an excuse or tool to rationalize abortion. However,most of us already are aware abortion was used in ancient times for the very same reasons. Abortion has been done and still is done largely for the parent's gain or the mother's convenience.
In biblical times, parents would take their babies and sacrifice them to Molech and other pagan gods.
They would insert the baby through the arms of the statue into the belly of the statue. The babies would be burned alive. The people would then mask/hide the barbarity of this. They would play loud music and beat drums so no one would hear the babies screams.
The goal/point was that in this time, the parents would receive gain and convenience. Molech would "give them" benefit like a promise of more wealth/agricultural gain, or other desires.
Seems like how modern abortion is treated today. People use euphemisms like "pro choice", dehumanizing language like "fetal tissue", propaganda and brainwashing to hide the barbarity and narcissism of abortion.
It's all about :
"the mother's wish"
"the mother's desire" .
"Lets make it better for the woman. It is going to help her".
"women need abortion to succeed"--No joke I've heard abortion activists/feminists say things like this.
"She is going to have a better life without this baby".
How is this not human sacrifice?
Anyone who has a good study bible knows that the bible also shows us that idolatry is not only literal objects like wood and stone. But that idolatry is also something your put your TRUST in and what you DESIRE. What you would give up in order to gain what your flesh desires. Instead of trusting God.
Even in the world of Hollywood there have been old stories of women aborting their babies in order "to make it big in Hollywood. In the 1950's aspiring women would have secret abortions because they believed that having the baby wold "Stop their dreams" of being a "big star".
There are also old and current conspiracy theories about Hollywood actresses/singers today sacrificing their unborn children to molech to gain something. The ideas that they have to sacrifice human blood to achieve elite status, wealth, and fame,etc
Just look at what happened with the Gosnell Horror case. Pro choicers quickly tried to distance themselves from what they support. Yet this is the exact same thing of what they support. Even with the Planned parenthood scandal, pro choice activists quickly try to hide their barbarity. Babies have also been found to be killed outside of the womb from a failed abortion attempt. But people again, try to hide the barbarity and narcissism of abortion.
