Do you believe Jesus was actually physically risen from the dead?

Thanks.
LW

Well, yes, isn't that what christianity is all about?

I have no doubt about it.

I posted this because I was shocked to learn that there are people profess to be christians and yet struggle with the idea that Jesus was literally raised from the dead. Was curious if any here struggle with that as well. Merry Christmas!

I understand why you posted this. Many church leaders in the traditional churches even have problems with the virgin birth.

A sign of the times.

I didn't take any of the options offered.

Jesus was certainly raised from the dead.

He was raised up in a Glorified Body, not one as you and I have.

Ours is flesh and blood.

Jesus described his as flesh and bone.

His can pass through walls.

Ours cannot(with any comfort).;)

We get ours, like his, at resurrection.:)

I don't know about you, but I have flesh, blood and bones.

censorship in my post  anyways an opportunity to get off topic  and talk about God

Philippians 3:21 says who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

Luke 24:39 "Behold My hands and My feet, that is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have."

Jesus is a ghost

Matthew 14:26; Mark 6:49 Christ thought to be ghost

1 Samuel 28:15

Most definitely I do.

Jesus did not.

His blood was shed, he carried it to heaven and sprinkled it in the Heavenly Temple(the real one).

Um, okay. If you want to read into it like that, I guess you can.

Seems to me like it misses the whole point - The Bible says we'll be given "spiritual bodies" not bloodless bodies.

But I won't derail the thread.

For those church leaders with problems -

As one of the ladies who attends our Shabbat meal often says "which page of the bible do you start believing on?"

Either God is God and we can take him at his word, or he is not, and therefore not worth believing in.

The Law, Prophets and Writings all point to His resurrection. The Gospels all proclaim it, and the apostles in their epistles proclaim it and tell of its significance. It is the crux of all of Scripture. It is the foundation of our faith in God through Christ. Without it our lives are vanity and we may as well "eat and drink, for tomorrow we die".

OP,
Please let me rephrase the question.

Does a prayer of thanksgiving flow out of your heart when you reflect on Jesus' resurrection?

When I reflect on it, yes, everytime! But not everytime when I think of it.

Right now I'm just mearly thinking of it and no real thanksgiving is coming forth.
