NINETEEN out of 20 women admit lying to their partners or husbands, a survey on attitudes to truth and relationships has found.

Eighty-three per cent owned up to telling "big, life-changing lies", with 13 per cent saying they did so frequently.

Communication is so important. One wonders why inaccuracies have to be introduced into a discussion between two intelligent people. Oh, I remember now. It's only inaccurate if a guy says something.

I wonder what the percentage is for men who lie? I'm sure its up there as well. Unfortunately, way too many people disobey the 9th Commandment, myself included at times. I am no saint. That is for sure.

I don't look at ti like I was lying, more as self presevation.

I'm afraid to ask my husband anything like that because he doesn't lie.....he would come right out and tell me if my butt looks big...but that's ok, I'd tell him too

The study you cite deals with relatively small lies used in the course of informal introductions.

The OP's study is much broader in scope and incorporates major, life-changing lies.
