I have been doing some studying on my own and came across this verse. Where is says that Jesus was made alive in the Spirit, can someone clarify this for me? According to the Jehovah's Witnesses it means he was raised as a spirit body and not physically resurrected but I know this is incorrect. Some help translating this verse would be grateful.
Its telling us that Jesus suffered and died for our sins, he entered his spiritual body went and preached resurrection to all those from that time until Noah's time that didn't have a chance of salvation through Jesus Christ.. during the 3 days before he returned...and now he is in heaven
You need to read 1 Peter 3:8-3:22 that particular verse ties all those together... 3:19- 3:22 answers your specific question
